It sounds like these guys need some 3 a days over the break. Perhaps then they will be able to play in the second half.

Tony calls out the team's practice habits yet again. I also thought his "splintering" comment was very insightful. When we get down some tend to get out of rhythm and throw up whatever shot they can get as quickly as possible. That has to stop. We need to run the offense through Cohn and have him find open shooters.

Calling out is one thing. If he isn't happy with how certain players are practicing, don't put them on the floor (maybe he isnt.)

His comment today about Tarpey and Sheldon suggests he wants the seniors to take a bigger role. If they won't do it after he talks to them, then he needs to sit them until they do. At least that is my approach. We aren't winning right now anyway, so it isn't as if it would be catastrophic.

RE: Hampton Critcical Early Game
Earlier this evening, before hearing Tony's post-game, I wondered why this was going off the rails after three good years. The two "constants" over the course of those three years were Terry and Sean. I wondered - Is it that simple, and what did they bring that was special?

Well, judging by Tony's last comment in the post-game, it may be that simple, and those two apparently brought it to practice every day...and there'll be little opportunity to shake my Pom poms unless the practice work ethic of the 2016-2017 team changes.

Not really fair to Dixon and Prewitt because they aren't as vocal and outspoken as Tarpey was. What we need is somebody to make hustle plays like Schneider and Tarpey in previous seasons. I just don't think we have a player like that on this year's team, but I could be wrong.

Yeah.

Tony should let Glover start the next game on the 16th. All he does is hustle non stop whenever he sees the court. He could show his more talented teammates what it looks like to be busting your ass at all times. Facing a D3 team presents the perfect chance for Shaver to finally get his message across to this year's team with such a move.

Do you guys really thinking that benching players against a DIII will do anything? I mean Tony has called his guys out after every game and nothing has changed. Would that kind of benching do it?

Rowley will quietly become the leader of this team.

It kind of answers the question of how he appeared in the starting lineup. He's played pretty well, but his enthusiasm and hustle are fantastic and necessary for a team lacking "passion"

Dixon's stunning slide is best reflected by the following stats over the past four games:
3-point shooting: 1-17
turnovers: 14

Tony has to get Daniel back to his usual game for us to compete in the CAA this season.

RE: Hampton Critcical Early Game
I said this in another thread......Dixon should come off the bench for a while. Have him be the sixth man, take the pressure off, have him focus on a couple things to excel at and hopefully the confidence comes back. I'd be comfortable with Malinowski, Prewitt, and Rowley all on the floor together

This is clearly all a scheme designed to keep Shaver from being hired away from WM. 4 20-win seasons at a place thats never done so and/or breaking us out of the Forgotten 5 would have had other places calling with $$$ to spend. Thank you players???!!!

Much of this dilemma goes to the type of kid we recruit. Skinny white guys who can jack it up. Occasionally we get a hard ass, like Schneider and Tarpey, and they mask some of the deficit. Whitman and Knight offer some promise down low. That's a good thing. Someone, other than the existing starters, must wake up, seize the opportunity, take care of the ball and D up. If he not there, wait till baseball.

I actually think that ship has sailed. While he doesn't look or act it, Tony is 61 and would be a bit long in the tooth for a major program to hire.
