If that happens then I think it's a toss up between Temple and Troy.

This is were not having Sunbelt Champ Game could kill us.

Temple would be 10-3 w losses to Army,Penn St, and Memphis
Troy would be 10-2 w losses to Clemson & Ark St

If Troy didn't lay an egg versus Arkansas State, would they be favored over Temple?

The Sun Belt will never get that spot as long as we declare co champions

Temple would have to have the edge there. Troy only has the one big one win over App, and even then, Temple has two wins more impressive than that. If it wasn't for the stAte game, it would be Troy's for the taking, perhaps even if only Western Michigan lost.

If App beat Troy, the Miami game would keep us out still.

Don't count out WKU. Their losses are to Alabama, Louisiana Tech and Vandy (by one point)

They have a chance to avenge the Tech loss Saturday.

Long shot....

Here's the crazy thing. If Navy WINS, the bowls may have to delay their announcements for a week and wait on the Army/Navy game.

Navy is only two spots behind WMU. Wins over both Temple and Army could give them the G5 Bid.

And THAT is doomsday scenario for the bowl people.

I think there's a good chance they'd get the nod over Temple in that case. 11-1 with a loss to Clemson looks pretty darn good. (If you mean favored on the field, though, I don't know who would have an edge there.)

They really can't do that because a loss to Armyu would clearly put them behind WMU.

It could effect several of our bowls though as whoever goes to Mobile may not know their opponent until Dec 10th since WMU would automatically get that spot if they don't go Cotton.

It's just that simple. Any of the major bowls' peeps would throw up in their mouths at the thought of their announcers having to talk about "The Sun Belt co-champs, the mighty Trojans of TROY..."

WKU's rating is above everyone other than WMU , Houston and Boise if I'm not mistaking and WMU is the only one with a shot of those three. The Odds are that Navy and WMU both probably wins they're games and it's all a mute point

I don't see any situation where Troy gets a look.

At best, they are "co-champion"(lame) of the perceived worst conference in the FBS. And they also got their asses handed to them by a 6-5 Arkansas State.

WMU goes if they win. If they lose, winner of Temple vs Navy goes.
