Did not see the game but reading another message board, did your kicker not miss a short FG, and the same kid that got you beat against UCA miss a routine catch for two points? If either makes the routine play all you need is a short FG instead of a TD.

I think the credit (not blame) should go to both for stopping Blake Anderson when no one else could.

Lot more good than bad for everyone beating Blake Anderson.

Good for the image of the SBC that they don't have to have an undefeated champion with a 0-4 OCC record.

Good the SBC might get another team bowl eligible.

Good for LA, their players and coaches because bowl eligibility is in sight.

Good for Troy, and App that their full season of excellence is rewarded with a championship.

Good for A-State that their HC won't benefit from another 8-0 run through the SBC obscuring the fact his whole philosophy about football was again the primary reason they started SBC play behind the eight ball.

Bad for A-State that Blake Anderson might have gotten another job with an 8 win season.

Good for TxSt, they can keep Blake Anderson from having any part of the championship, and do it on ESPN2.

Good for the SBC Commissioner that he can find an excuse not to present the championship trophy to the school, and fan base that wants him fired.

It takes a great imagination to call that a pitch. The kid made a desperation lateral knowing it was the onlyoption all he had. Almost pulled it off.

Desperation...oh yeah. An offensive lineman picked it up but a split second earlier and its a championship...but not to be.

Just my opinion that it is NOT in the best interest of the SBC to have a team go undefeated two years in a row with a 1-7 OCC record.

In fact having them even share a title is bad for the SBC, so good luck TxSt.

The SBC has a chance to move ahead of the MAC and CUSA in the G5 pecking order, and don't need coaches that approach their job like Anderson does.
