Liberty
Liberty is 3-2 with a close 5 point loss at home to VCU, and a blowout loss at Indiana.
Epitome of small ball with starting five and primary bench going only 6'1"-6'5". Two fresh/soph brothers listed at 6'8" and 6'9", but they don't appear to be in the primary rotation much at this point. McKay, though, does play 12-13 players, so, more than even Tony. They shoot and hit a lot of three pointers, force a lot of turnovers, and compete hard. We've got to get good penetration on the pack-line defense, and not just settle for behind the arc. Whitman and Knight have got to be prepared to handle a lot of double teaming down low and kick back to the open man. Tony commented after the Duke game that the Liberty game would be more in line with our level, of all games to date, but have to believe our size can/will dominate.

Went to buy extra tickets for the game online and was shocked to see how many tickets have been sold in most sections. Anybody know what's going on? If all these tickets were sold and are used, Kaplan will be a relatively full place except for the student sections, unless there was just a glitch in the ticket system. Assume at $5 a pop, blocks were bought and given away to local groups.

RE: Liberty
Kinda a bummer that our best home OOC game is over break, Liberty would draw a pretty good student section.

RE: Liberty
This is the one home game I'm going to miss this year. I'll be listening from a parking lot at Clemson, waiting for the Tigers to take on South Carolina.

Wom, when Liberty is your best out of conference home game, you don't need to say much more about how bad the schedule is......

RE: Liberty
With four of our starters being taller than the entire group of Liberty starters, we have to dominate the boards to prevent them from running like crazy.

Whitman is looking strong in the post thus far - as he should against 6'5" and under big men.

RE: Liberty
They definitely play the Pac Line D well. If you want an easy shot, it will have to come from downtown.

Finally started finding the range from 3. Otherwise, they just keep packing in the inside tighter and tighter.

Tribe shooting 35%, Liberty 46%, both on 11 made baskets. Rebounds going Tribe way by 21 to 13.
