I think it just irritates folks that instead of Anderson figuring out his crap after the total clunker against Toledo, he waited until after an 0-4 start and even made the comment afterwards that "our season starts now" after losing to UCA.

Not whining, just don't understand Anderson's mindset.

Now that we can agree on. I hope he learned something about getting a team ready for the season.

Pretty much all of our posters have talked about how mad and disappointed we were after our OOC. We are much more aggravated with it than any other fanbase. Unfortunately some of our posters go on to aggravate other people due to hearing them complain about our OOC woes. Sometimes on this board it looks like two 12 year olds going back and forth with the "I know you are but what am I's".

Sorry if this has been addressed and I missed it, but do we know what the difference in conference payouts is between 3rd-4th-5th? Maybe the $ number won't be available yet, but is the percentage known along with last year's? Also does us "passing the MAC" mean that we are 3rd or 4th? And what were we last year?

I don't know the percentages, so can't answer that. I do know it is millions per conference, so finishing a spot better is literally hundreds of thousands more per school or more.

Last year, the SBC was last, just missing out on 4th from CUSA. However, the SBC's take per school was more, due to their 14 versus the SBC's 12. This year, the SBC is way ahead of CUSA, and it looks like nothing will change that at all.

Passing the MAC puts the SBC at 3rd, and not terribly far from the Mountain West, had the SBC done a little better in OOC games...

It's two million dollars per slot.

The old BCS formula is used to determine the rankings.

Last week the SBC was well in front of CUSA and a hair behind the MAC.

Win Bowl Games and we have a shot to finish third.

When the CFP was paying $12mil per conference (1/5 of $60m), the G5 conference payouts totaled $15mil and broke down as follows:

1st - $5m (AAC)
2nd - $4m (MWC)
3rd - $3m (SB)
4th - $2m (MAC)
5th - $1m (CUSA)

I'm not sure what the updated payouts are after the G5 conferences agreed to only $10m per conference and adding the remainder ($10m) to the performance pool. My guess would be:

This board has truly evolved. Those who were around from '08 to '12 remember some truly obnoxious trolls that thankfully no longer hang around these parts. Maybe people in general just know how to "internet" better. There's also much deeper understanding of the game and it's specifics. That helps.
