3 game series @bu this weekend. First up are the terriers, already down 6 at halftime. Then LIU and Maine the other two games. This a great chance to give a lot of guys minutes. I'm hoping for 3 wins but realistically that's not likely, especially being down at half already vs. bu. It's early in the season so I wouldn't be surprised with anything really.

Some ugly basketball by both teams. NU with a 12-0 run that has included a scoreless streak of about 3 minutes heh

NU up 5 with under 3 minutes left. What a classic ugly midmajor slugfest. We aren't scoring so hopefully we an hang on.

I predict that this will be the worst game that alex plays for us.

This is why I made that comment about Coen leaving last year and I would be OK with it.

We lost this game because the coach decides at some point every game we have a lead and we have enough points to win.

BU was held without a FG for nearly 10 minutes in the 2nd half. Then we're up 7 with 5 + minutes to play and we pass up opportunities to attack the basket because Coen wants to milk the clock.

We've seen this for 11 years now and it's always a recipe for disaster.

Murphy also killed us missing 7 FTs and fouls a guy making a 3 for a 4-point play.

Yeah its a rivalry et all, but we're so much better than BU its not even funny. We led by 12 points or more in both games. They should have no chance of beating us the next 2 to 3 years.

Don't get me wrong, Coen has stabilized the program and the recruiting has been superb the last few years buoyed by the NCAA appearance, but we lose a handful of games like this every freakin' year.

So true. It happens in a lot of games for a lot of schools but Northeastern truly is the worst at this. It's awful. Coen has never been a great in game coach. His best value to NU has always been recruiting.

1-2 for the tourney. Two double digit 2nd half leads blown. Yuck.

TJ Williams in excellent form though.

Sad that Green and Ford just can't get many minutes. Was hoping they'd be key contributors here. Still have hope for Green.

Green has been getting minutes. He played big minutes vs. UConn and down the stretch.

Ford probably isn't ready, I don't know. Thought he would see time this weekend but as we saw, he wouldn't have helped.
