A schedule like that is just out of whack. I really wish the conference would have all teams play all teams each year.
I agree. To heck with the COG and play a round robin format. Time to stop the insanity!

Lol...so you are taking credit for our win...Lol....have mercy. Weelllllll.thaaaaannnkkk yeeooouuuuuu.....Lol.
Nobody's taking credit for anything. BUT you can't ignore that for the second year on a row AState played the App/Troy winner on a short week after an emotional, hard fought game. To dismiss that as not having a bearing on the outcome of the folliwing games is not living in the real world.
IMO if A-State had played AppSt five days ago, and Troy played NMSU, their is a very good chance that a different fan base would be happy today.
Doubt their was anyone that follows college football ( excluding A-State fans, players and coaches of course) that did not think the SBC Championship was decided last Saturday.
Just bad luck in scheduling for Troy.
You are setting yourself up for some serious insults. No way to reason with a bunch of people claimimg the most talented roster in P5 in August, yrt two months later were complaining how bad they sucked and have now reverted back to the August insanity.
Had to go back and replace "their" with "there" in that post, but after watching the replay of the game I'm certain if you flipped who they played the previous Saturday the another fan base would be happy today. Have to feel for the Troy players, coaches and fans for being put in that situation.
At best A-State has a top 20 G5 "roster" of talent, which is the best in the SBC, and really helps on special teams.
AppSt, Troy and A-States 2-deep are all among the best in G5, and not a lot of difference between them.

9 conference games isn't the answer when everyone will still play a P5 school for cash. We need four OOC games to give us opportunities to get wins for the payout, well except Ark St. we should have them play all 11 SBC teams next year.

An 11-0 record would be good.

When Freeze was here the top 3 teams besides us had an open date before our game and we had a short week on one of those. We still did pretty well that year. It can be done.

Unfortunately I hear Toledo or UCA will be the 12th game.

Don't be stupid. There was no bunch of people claiming AState had the best roster.
Arkansas State just sucks. We've been in the league for 16 years and never been picked to win the conference in football. Surprised yall haven't kicked us out for being so bad.

Didn't realize App had so many whiney fans. Yoseph said he disliked us cause we treated them badly last time we played. You know the game where they lost a water boy and we stomped a hole in them....Lol. Of course I couldn't care less if they liked me...Lol. Yeah real concerned.
