Curious on anyone who has renewed their work benefits this year and the cost?
So the paranoia being put out about premiums going up 25-45% got me kind of spooked and as it so happens it is renewal time for benefits where I work.

At best, my dental and optical stuff went up $1-3 each a month. % wise arguably 20% but cost wise $ wise nothing measureable--like $1.50-3.
But my health insurance....

3 years ago I went expensive to keep close to the same benefits, 2 years ago I moved down a level because of the cost and real world medical usage wasn't justifying the premium. Last year I moved down a level to have some extra cash in my paycheck for bills. This year, for renewal I will have to move down a level to keep the montly cost the same as it was this year. The net change in the two plans wouldn't really be offset unless I did go to the hospital and at that point, the nicer plan would save a lot more money. To stay at the same level I had would have to spend $40-50 extra a month or about right at 25-30% increase in premium a month. That is a lot of cheese for me at this time.

How much has anyone else's stuff changed?

Mine barely increased in cost, but I know my dental coverage went down. I had a balance for my cleaning. I've never had to pay anything for routine cleaning before.

I have no premiums at work for me as I am claiming single for work benefits.

However, I and the others under this plan have been told that there will almost certainly come a time in future, while it maybe years from now, where that will change and single claimants will have premiums.

My premiums have skyrocketed, but I'm on the exchanges since I'm self employed. The ObamaCare exchange for South Carolina is in death spiral collapse. BCBS is the only insurer left state wide ... and their premiums have gone up at LEAST 20% every single year the last 4 years running.

I'm going to see if Trump wins the election. If he does, I'll replace my exchange plan with a private free market 12-18 month temporary plan and hope ObamaCare gets trashed.

If he does not, I'm pulling out of the exchanges altogether and going with Liberty Healthshare and a new local doctor's franchise that is strictly cash only with up front price lists. The laughable thing is .... seeing a BCBS teledoctor on my phone is only $5 cheaper IN COPAY than seeing the local cash only doctor in real life for the entire visit (assuming no lab work).

Mine are subsidized by the company, so not much change - maybe 5% increase? I would shudder to see what the exchanges would do to me though.

Most traditional plans are up only marginally. It's the 'exchange' plans that are up so much. The assumptions going in were far too low.

15% increase, but the company may cover part of that. We're probably funding some of the Obamacare losses these companies took up the butt on the exchanges.

If you are on the exchanges, prepare to bend over.

Overall, my employer paid insurance went up $3 semi-monthly. I either got similar coverage or better than last year. The non employer paid consumers are the ones getting screwed. My guess, since I haven't had that experience myself.

Mine went up $55... Dental went up $10.

Higher deductible, Higher Max out of Pocket, and no more prescription coverage.

I work for an extremely large corporation, wife is a school teacher. Both our rates through our employers went down slightly. Not enough to notice a difference.

Don't worry, Obamacare will slowly be shifted into a socialist one-payer system thereby destroying America's leadership in world-class health care.

17% increase, the company no longer contributes to the HSA, and if your spouse can be insured by their employers but choose my company's plan there is a $1,200 annual surcharge.
