Good win tonight vs bu at the old barn 87-77.

TJ Williams was unstoppable tonight, yes I said unstoppable. He had 30 pts and missed a handful of FT or he would have had a even better game. He looks healthy and very motivated as a leader.
Alex Murphy was as advertised. He let the game come to him in the first half , but when bu made a few runs, he hit some big 3's and on the fast break he's a legit high major player. He had an alley hoop dunk and two dunks going to the hole.
Those two will carry this team.
The freshman were also impressive. Shawn Occeus started and hit a 3 and was smooth going to the hole. He looked like Begley in his fist game!
Bolden Brace made a bad lazy pass his first time in, but he drained a 3 and you can see why he's a great shooter.
But the most impressive frosh was Maxime Boursiquot. He's got great size and length and he's got some toughness in the paint. He's 6-5 but he crashed the boards a bit. He also hit a 3 but there were times he was out of control. He got a lot of minutes.
Miller had a subpar game offensively but he was OK rebounding. When he doesn't hit a 3 his game seems to drop off. I expect him to be better vs. UConn.
The starting 5 was Miller, Murphy, Occeus, Red and TJ.
Gresham was good tonight too. Him and TJ are going to give some teams a hard time.
Negatives...
The FT bugaboo STILL shows with this team. Tonight it was everyone. We were 23-37 from the line. We should have won this game by 15 or more.
We got outrebounded by 5 to a smaller team. That's a concern.
Overall good win. We jumped all over them in the first half with a 16 point lead but we gave up 52 in the second half.
NU made 10 3's.
As was mentioned....#18 UConn lost its home opener to Wagner! Now, they're probably be fired up Monday but that now a winnable game for us.
Also found out that NU beat Providence in a closed scrimmage by 15 earlier this week.
