HRC is not cleared of any wrongdoing...

She was only found not guilty of intent in July.
She was found guilty of being reckless and negligent.

The foundation is not cleared of wrongdoing.

She's cleared of charges. Not necessarily cleared of any wrongdoing. In fact she's admitted she was wrong.

You should rewrite your post headline. It's factually incorrect.

She's cleared for the email investigation. She was never charged with anything.

Clinton Foundation investigation is still ongoing.

She wasn't cleared on the emails either. She was found to have broken laws. She just wasn't brought up on charges like anyone else would have been.

I'm not convinced it was done as an intentional partisan move. I think it is more likely that Comley was trying to cover his ass because of what he had promised congress when he testified. It is more a case of him being tone deaf. He ends up screwing it all up. The FBI should never speak publicly about their investigations. They should indict if there is sufficient evidence, nothing else.

He screwed up in July, and now has screwed up trying to fix it.
