I find it utterly amazing that, after eight years of one of the most racially divisive presidents ever, someone can, with a straight face, blame the current racial discord on Trump. Anyone trying to pull that should be embarrassed for themselves.

Would a Make America great crowd say the same thing to Dirk Nowitzki? That's the part you guys miss and yes there is the racial element to it. I didn't hear anything close to this with Omar Vizquel in the 90's. If you guys can't see the closet racists amongst you.

1. You are either racist yourself or

2. You are blind to party ideology. The GOP is making enemies of Latinos or making them feel like 2nd class citizens.... and

3. Who in the hell are you to question someone's legal stranding? It does remind me of the Nazi's checking people's papers. It's a crazy time.

Evidence that your question wasn't genuine.
1) 'foreign' is a nationality, not a race. As to the 90's, do you forget that Reagan had just pardoned millions of illegals through the Simpson–Mazzoli Act in exchange for stricter enforcement? It wasn't until Republicans went after Tyson in the 90's (big supporters of Clinton) that democrats started pushing back again, and not until they took back the White House did they stop strictly enforcing the border.
2) We're not talking about citizens. Democrats are constantly confusing the two. Who is therefore the racist? The guy against illegal immigrants? Or the guys who confuse citizens of Hispanic descent with illegal immigrants?
3) Nazi's? methinks thou dost protest too much. Nazis went after citizens, not those in the country illegally. Once again, YOUR side equating the two.

I understand that these tactics work, but that only shows that stupidity is rampant in every race.

By equating the two, you have obviously confused the youth of America who now can't tell the difference either. Democrats have created more racists by equating race with nationality.... not Republicans.

Before anyone blames racial discord on Trump, perhaps you should prove the racial discord on Obama. 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

I'm to the point now, for the few GOPers left that have some core beliefs left, I want to show them how utterly destructive Trump's campaign has been. The racist bullies are back and back in force. That's the code word for Trump speaking about what needs to be talked about. The anti PC crap. It's truly bad. People think it's ok to question a minority if they really belong here. Really? It's a scary time in America and I'm going to speak out on it. I'm embarrassed for many of you.

As I said earlier - our whole country is a nation of immigrants.

With that said, what is putting a big strain on all of our systems is all the illegal immigration that we as a country have allowed to occur. Anchor babies, not having any clue who is here legally or not legally, an illegal criminal element, etc.......... that is why we are getting some of the backlash we are getting.

Not to mention - with the mass exodus of manufacturing jobs happening.......folks see their path to the middle class being eliminated while simultaneously seeing tons of illegals working jobs in the construction industries. Wonder why a pretty big segment of the population gets bitter.

I will say that a ton of those illegals are willing to work their a$$es off and they are family oriented - they just need to come here legally and at least have a green card. Part of the problem is the fact that the INS sucks at processing folks into the country in any sort of timely fashion.(imagine that - a government agency that sucks at their task) Imagine the waiting to come here and work as 100 times worse than the local BMV office that is also inefficient as hell...........

In short - every country has a right to determine who and who does not get in-country. The fact that our Federal government has abdicated it's responsibility to secure our borders has tons of people p!ssed off, and rightly so.

because I am a fair an open minded person I will take your post into sugestion. I do think it was because of his hispanic accent though and like I said earlier you NEVER heard this type of talk in the 90's. Those teams were worshipped. Not here though.

From my experience in Texas there was very little negative reaction towards Hispanics. They were just part of the culture. I was watching "Giant" the other day and that prejudice was not a Texas I recognized (maybe it was like that in California-they didn't even like Okies there). Now there is some negative reaction to illegals. But that has to do with status, not with their ethnic group. And Hispanics are the overwhelming majority of the illegal group.

My grandfather felt that way about illegals and he looked a lot more Hispanic than Perez and his Spanish accent was every bit as thick.

Sometimes social/economic stratification gets interpreted as racism. You get some of that attitude everywhere against people of their own ethnic group.

I disagree. As a Hispanic, I can tell you from experience that attitudes towards Hispanics changes significantly the further east you go.

RE: This happened in my room this morning.
I've witnessed bigotry in Texas. It was more prevalent before the 90s. Sometimes it was really bad. In school for instance there was this gay English teacher that used to call us, "stupid Mexicans". Nothing was ever done or no one cared. We could have retaliated by throwing his gayness back at him but we probably would have been punished for it. In all of Texas in my travels the last time I witnessed bigotry was in Houston in 1966. The last time I witnessed it again was in Arizona from a waitress no less around 1995 or so.

There will always be some type of bigotry, racism in the world. Get over it and be above it. You don't need to get into fights/arguments as the perpetrators already have it in their mindset and like here, you won't get them to change. It would be stupid of me to hold Libturds views among my friends against them. Everyone has an opinion and are entitled to that.

No more than many of us are for those who can't tell, or worse... can, but choose not to, the difference between racism and 'citizenship'.

1. This happened.

2. No one has given me advice worth anything.

3. I'm still holding out hope someone from the right can give good advice here.

4. I teach science but this is one of those cross curricular events. You can't let racial stuff like that pass. I just want good advice.
Read the constitution to him
Read immigration laws to him
Explain that our country was built by immigrants.
Read the bill of rights to him.

Progressives are the ones pushing Orwellian limits on freedom and exercising group-think to try to destroy anyone who doesn't agree with their value system or beliefs.

They are freezing out an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley and not investing in his companies simply because he gave money to Trump.

The progressives are on a very dangerous course. And that is one of the big influences in convincing me to don my gas mask and vote for Trump. Its a scary future with them in charge. Marginalize economically anybody who doesn't agree with you. Very 1984.
