I think Bryce is a better player than Ingram or at least I would take him over Ingram every time.

Looking at the preseason poll, looks like the Media did a fairly good job. They finally got us right LOL. The biggest miss was Elon who was underrated by 3 slots. Charleston was underrated by 2 slots while JMU and Hofstra overrated by 2 slots. Everyone else was 1 off

The Mullet called this one right. Bryce is a legitimate Player of the Year Candidate.

Mullet did get that one right. Bryce has a lot more upside too, and I think we'll see his full potential blossom over the next couple years.

Was that really such a hard one to get right? Especially since Bryce is the one being mentioned as a player of the year candidate.

Look at the dates. This was from October 2016 when Flemmings was preseason POY and Bryce was honorable mention.

A stretch? No. Difficult? No.

However, Ingram was above him on the All-CAA team picks and no doubt you can argue for Bryce.

None of the rest of us picked it.

Mullet, for his faults... still gets some things correct. I'll give him his dues when earned.

The CAA picked it that way. And the deciding factor for probably had a lot to do with senior vs sophmore. Maybe I was close enough to the program to see it differently. Not to take anything away from Denzel, because he was a difference maker. But Bryce's ability was noticed as something special by the program. While Flemmings was expected to be the POY, Bryce was seen as the next guy up. Denzel is the Iceman, while Bryce is the fireman.

Agree on all of this.

I love C.J. He just takes care of business. And plays way better D than the other good offensive players on this team.

Bryce is an incredibly efficient scorer for a guard, too. A .488 shooting % (3rd on the team behind Cacok and Bryan) is insane considering he leads the team in FG attempts (422). Despite that kind of volume he never seems to take a bad shot. You couldn't ask for those kinds of numbers out of a senior, let alone a sophomore, but somehow he does it every night.

Not to mention he's a tenacious rebounder and defender. Simply a joy to watch on both ends of the court. This will unquestionably be HIS team next season.

He works through the flow of the offense, but also knows when he just needs to go "screw it" and make something happen himself. His basketball IQ is off the charts.

He's easy to like that's for sure! Realistically, i'd say he might have a legit shot to catch Blizz if he stays all 4 years.
