Richmond game
Per official spiders football twitter, the gametime is now officially set for Noon, with ASN doing the TV. Hope we'll set this up for a little more at stake by the time that week gets here. Payback overdue.
Will be interesting to see if they make the start time for the Presbyterian bball game immediately after at 4pm or a 7pm start. Be nice to see a tailgate induced, old alum, rowdy crowd in Kaplan. Offer admission to the bball game with your football stub and give incentive to just move the party over to Kaplan, for those who didn't already have bball season tics.

Noon start times stink IMHO. It means decreased attendece since the students historicaly do not show up early, there are activities for kids on Saturday mornings which keep families away and a later start helps business people get away .Plus beer tastes better later in the day.

I know the QB Club lot is a ghost town for these games. That tells you a lot.

I agree that noon starts stink in September and October, and early November.
But, for the Saturday before Thanksgiving, when the dice is being rolled with the weather, give me sun ... sun ... sun!!!
I think a 1:30 start is the sweet spot for this game, but when TV talks, we all jump, don't we.
As for attendance, one more loss, and it won't matter at what time the game is played.
As for choice of liquor, early starts allow more creativity!

No it is not a ghost town . The no-shows or late arrivers are attending their kid's or grandchildren's events which is quite understandable. The rest of us are out there tasting various Bloody Mary recipes.

I actually like noon starts but accept that I'm probably in the minority there.

RE: Richmond game
Hey, if it was up tome I'd start the games no earlier than 1:00 PM nor later than 3:00 PM so it would the easiest for me to make it a day trip.
That being said, we're not in charge of game times. I'm glad to be back in VA so that it is easier to come to more games when I my schedule allows. I hope to see 4 home games this year for the first time in several decades.

Night games that time of year have the potential to be VERY cold. With the new policy you can't go warm up inside the UC anymore, so an all day time affair is fine by me.

Two years it was at night and it was quite cold even with being able to go out at halftime. Losing did not help either.
