Just want to see where Sun Belt posters stand
Moderators, if this goes any further, please feel free to delete.

I want to ask the question, where do you stand in this political cycle. I'd prefer if no one added any posts to this thread. Just make your choice and move on. I'm not looking to start a political discussion, just a simple vote will do.

Thanks

Let's see, do I want the fox to run the hen house or the neurotic pyromaniac?

Wait a minute, you mean it's not illegal to vote for someone other than those two?

Moved this thread to the Smack Board (where t would end up anyway). We don't want the board to become political so those that are politically fatigued can come and just enjoy talking about sports.

RE: Just want to see where Sun Belt posters stand
I know you said you'd prefer no replies to the thread, but I wanted to mention that I was just thinking that it'd be nice to be able to have a thread about the election on the board if we could somehow figure out what very specific rules could be followed to keep it civil. Emotions always lead to big statements like "You _____ always _____ because you just want to _____ and you're stupid." So it might work if we could keep that out of it. Not sure how though.

As for the poll, I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to vote. If you were to hold a gun to my head and force me to pick one, I'd choose Hillary, just as if I were to walk into the voting booth at gunpoint with the same mandate, I guess I'd have to vote for her. But as it stands, neither of these candidates will get my vote. The progression of this election has made me more and and more sure that it's worthwhile to throw my vote away on someone who can't win.

Chiefsfan is not listed as one of the options. Come on guys, we all know I'd make a far better President than any of these idiots.

I would vote for you. Now before you get the big head I would probably vote for anyone besides those two.

Let's see...he is destroying the US from the inside . Our credibility to the outside. Oh and trying to get tax cuts for the rich and taking care of his insurance buddies at the the expense of average Americans. So pretty well what I figured he would do.

Facts:

---This week the POTUS posed with .....huge smiles all around....two known Russian spies. In the Oval Office.
---Only the Russian press was allowed in to capture that moment.
---This was done the day after he fired the man looking into the relations of the trump campaign and Russia. He admitted that that was one the main reasons that he fired the guy.

And all that was minor compared to all the other atrocities that this POTUS did this week.

Whatever your political leanings, if you are not extremely concerned with the state of this nation you are the biggest part of the problem.

Rant over

This election cycle and the reactions since Mr. Trump took office have shown me how little politics in our country is about actual ideas. It's about my guy vs. your guy. Find the feeling you like and fight for it. Maybe it was always that way...? Anyway, that's what actually concerns me the most about the state of the nation...that we're reaching a point of just being too tied up in the game of picking out whose side we're on to even think rationally about what American freedom is supposed to mean.

I voted Rand Paul in the primary and Gary Johnson in the general.

Therefore, I did not vote in this poll. Those shouldn't be the only two options to choose from (and they weren't).

Unfortunately they were the only two with a realistic chance to win. Just another example of the sorry shape our national leadership is in.

I stayed out of the primaries, but voted Johnson as well. I knew full well he wouldn't win, but my hope was he'd draw enough votes among a pool of very flawed candidates that there'd be a legit third-party in future elections that would get invited to national debates.

Still shocked that he couldn't get 15%. I can't get the douche vs. turd sandwich from South park out of my head after this election.
