Thanks for the update. That's great news. Rashard is a great ambassador for JMU. This news gives me extra motivation to root for the Titans this upcoming Sunday against the Texans. I believe if Tennessee wins, they are in the playoffs (read: control their own destiny). Might be able to still get in with a loss, though may need some help in other games. Go Rashard!!!!
Go Rashard! Also, Ish had another catch, fairly long one this time, for the Bucs Sunday and should get even more playing time this week as Winston goes for the 30 TD/30 INT season ha.

Rashard had a 16 yard reception. I believe it may be his first in the NFL.

I saw some of the Jets / Bills game today. Daniel Brown had at least 3 catches and Dean Marlowe made a few plays (also gave up a short TD reception I saw).

Raven Green has been designated to return from injured reserve by the Packers. Should play in the playoffs!

RE: #ProDukes
I’ll let someone else make a thread for it but do we have any guesses for the NFL draft and which guys will get UDFA contracts? I would have to think Riley gets at least a tryout. Polk could be a huge tool for a lot of teams and even Dylan with how great of a year he has combined with his size. Robinson drafted? I would expect Rondell to be picked up. Possibly Daka as a linebacker based on his size? Deangelo Amos as a specialist. Holloway on a UDFA?

Recently someone posted the top FCS players and their projected draft position... The only JMUer projected to go in the draft is Ron'Dell Carter, and I think it had him at 5th-6th round.
I think both Stapletons have a shot of being UDFAs picked up. Wishy-washy on the others.

Slow down there hoss , Amos is a r-Jr. and back next year thankfully! Going to be a real leader of this team defensively I'd think along with Mike Greene, Adeeb, and Kelvin. Safety with him and MJ with be a real strength next year.

Wow, you’re right! That’s great news. I thought this whole season he was a senior. As for the projections, I agree that Rondell is going to be the only guy drafted. This should be a big year for UDFA’s though.

On the Fan radio show in Atlanta this morning, discussion about whom the Falcons may look at from LSU/Clemson game last night.
A caller says "Falcons should look at the Stapleton brothers at J Madison." and the host said James Madison once...the host is a SEC homer as expected and did not shower the call with love but it was a mention on a large media platform, a good thing.

I think Ben will get a shot at the next level. Just a hunch.

I seriously doubt it will be the NFL that will make the call. XFL or CFL are a possibility but I'd even say those would be a long shot.

I heard Dylan Stapleton is getting a lot of looks. Wouldn't be shocked if he got drafted late.

Why so? Explain your reasons. I see Ben as an accurate passer, with decent size and speed, and much above athletic ability. Not projecting him as a starter, but there are teams that could use his talents.

I'm with Longhorn on this one. Not saying he'll make it, or any of the others necessarily, but with the trend in QB's moving towards more and more dual-threat, or at least "athleticism required," I think he gets a shot too.
I also think the JMU brand is starting to mean something to scouts data-nerds whose livelihoods depend as much on not getting laughed at as getting everything right. Look how many more teams and front offices are aware of, and taking seriously, JMU products lately. At the very fringes of NFL rosters, it's as much about how well you've been coached, how adaptable and football-intelligent you are, and how good your agent is as much as whether you are marginally better than the other guy trying to make the practice squad. Four teams left in the playoffs and three have JMU guys in those exact fringe positions (though arguably Raven isn't fringe, just hurt).

RE: #ProDukes
Every time we have a starting QB graduate, people think he's going to go to the NFL. I remember the same posts about Schor, Vad, Landers, etc
I'd love to be wrong... But this is just not reasonable. There are far too many QBs out there. If Vad Lee, Landers, etc didn't really even get a look, what makes you think DiNucci will?
When was the last time we had a QB in the NFL? Cawley with Colts in '96?

This is fair enough, though Vad probably would've had the best chance were it not for the injury his senior year. Didn't Schor have a cup of coffee somewhere in a rookie camp?

I feel like if Lee was our QB now, he would have gotten more looks just with the way the NFL evaluates QBs nowadays
