Uh. who the F_K cares about a popularity contest between the constituent parts of the IFC. Let them run the Homecoming campaign. BTW I did the Greek thing in college too. But lets just call the homecoming campaign what it is. Either its completely ignored or its just part of the world of the Greeks.

To me, it didn't seem that they were playing either. Marching Band is a voluntary class with no real bearing on anything relating to graduation, as such, I believe that as a voluntary member of the group, you need to play the program as directed or get out.
This has nothing to do with expressing oneself and everything to do with uniformity while marching, which has always been the standard.
People much remember, German citizens used to solute the Nazi flag and their anthem as well.
