I wonder if Lambuth ever comes back around. Since the University of Memphis took over the shuttered campus in Jackson, they've invested heavily in the campus and surrounding area. With the bulk of growth expected in the next 5 years, and the 10 year moratorium on sports up in 2021, I see them eventually joining back up with the Gulf South Conference. Plus, it creates a cross town conference rivalry with Union. Big question is, would football be a part of that equation too?

Davis & Elkins Join MEC/ UNc-Pembroke Joins MEC As Associates

Davis & Elkins will join the MEC 2019/2020.

UNc-Pembroke will join as associates to the MEC with football,swimming/diving, indoor track & field and wrestling. Football in 2020, the other sports 2019.
