I realize there had to be some housecleaning and Title IX issues. I would just be happy with either an announcement that you guys are working that way or students making noise wanting it. But there just doesn't seem to be much coming out of Arlington.

Will conference expand to 12 now that it has a CCG game?

If anything, this. Just need to start leaning on LR and UTA!!!
No way in hell LR is getting a team. Would have to be approved by UA BOT, which ain't happening. There's a rumor that one of the stipulations when LR joined the UA system was that they were barred from starting football for 99 years. So unless you want to hold a spot for them for the 2068 season...

Looks like it is North Florida, why he didn't pick West Florida is beyond me.

Correct except the last one.
The last one is UNF, University of North Florida Ospreys in Jacksonville. They're DI, A-Sun Conf and have been making some noise in bball the last few years. With USF and UCF on the rise, UNF is constantly asked when they're getting football. Most think it's a matter of time. I have no stake in the matter other than noting they're a good geographic fit, the school is growing, they're in a talent rich FL, and if the Jags ever leave town there will be a big void to fill at EverBank Field. Here's a link to their feasibility report from 3 years ago. They're basically in the same boat as most of us other upstarts. Just a question of if or when they pull the trigger.

That would not be bad.
I think for the Sun Belt to ever reach in a more permanent level the achievements of the American or the MW, it has to reach a point where it's teams aren't in transition from starting up or even from FCS. I would assume the goal is to have teams where fanbasez are already established. If the league is constantly adding teams who just recently, or haven't even yet, established football programs, then the league will never be filled with teams with established fans. I do see JIM and UTA as exceptions. JMU because they are pretty much FBS-ready from a budget and facilities standpoint. UTA because they are already a league member. But adding schools like Wichita State, Missouri State, or Chattanooga, which either don't yet have programs, are in terrible shape as a program (like we need more of that), or simply don't have much of a fanbase to support the program, just would set the league back for no good reason.

Because no one demanded it, I present...the C-USA poached, all FBS
Sun Belt Conference Dream Team(s)
Permanent Cross-Conference Games
ASU vs ASU (naturally)
CCU vs NMSU (they're both flying anyway)
GS vs Louisiana (deserve each other)
GA St vs TX St (Cat Fight, Easy Flight)
Troy vs ULM (2nd closest geographic rivals)
USA vs USM (closest geographic rivals)

Considering Little Rock would have to get the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees to approve a Football add, there's a better chance of having a snowball fight in Hell.
If you lean on Little Rock with the suggestion that I've said the Sun Belt should use for a while, that we may have to eventually require football to become a league member, the Trojans reaction would probably be to call the Missouri Valley and see whats up.

The only thing that might help LR is that the Hogs are pulling out of Memorial Stadium, at least I think I remember that being talked about. If that happens, politicians and businesses will be looking to replace those tax dollars in the Little Rock area. Never underestimate the power of the dollar. Not saying it's going to happen, but could help.

There is nothing that's going to help Little Rock get football.
It's the only thing less likely to happen than the pigs playing us.

Yeah. If it doesn't have a snout Little Rock isn't interested.

That's not going to make Little Rock care. They've been threatening for years to pull games out of War Memorial Stadium, and it seems every time they get close to actually doing it, the city steps up and provides them what they need.
Even if the games were pulled, the city will refuse a contract on the off chance the Razorbacks may come back begging.
