Where did you see this? I can't find it on any of the W&M BB Twitter feeds or Hunter's.

Maybe it's similar to what happened to Britt a few years ago and he'll be back for the 2nd half of the year?

A quick search of the court website shows Seacat has a DWI charge pending on November 8. So yeah, there's the answer.

I should have known to look outside the school's feeds. Shaver's comments sound like Seacat will be eligible for reinstatement next semester. It is a tough loss, but hopefully Knight will be able to take advantage of the minutes. Foul trouble is pretty dangerous for our bigs now, though.

Yikes, and I'm guessing this provides more court time for Rowley too though he is rail thin. Rebounding will be a huge need as it wasn't our strong suit to begin with. We really need Knight.

I can't make the scrimmage today, would those of you who can please be willing to post your observations and thoughts?

Wow, that's unfortunate about Seacat. I'm sure Shaver will make the necessary adjustments though. After all, we did have 20 wins the year after an NBA draft pick left. Would have been nice to rotate Whitman/Seacat/Knight and potentially have two bigs on the floor, but last year Shaver really only rotated Sheldon/Whitman, so hopefully we can make it work. Im also looking forward to some comments from those that can attend the scrimmage - please post!

Shaver rotated Sheldon/Whitman/Seacat all year, except for when Whitman was injured

Looks like Seacat did average 8 minutes a game, but I thought Whitman was hurt at one point during the year, which would have inflated his minutes. He did really come on late though. I guess we'll see how Shaver fills the void.

Seacat played in just 19 games last year, and didn't play in any of the last 4.

hopefully he will be back after the first on the year, we could use his size down low. If I remember he did a good job on Gusty!! Brandon missed the first 9 game for his same offence, I am sure the punishment will be the same, Least I hope so
