This is just not true. You can lower your blended tax rate if your income is mostly capital gains, but wealthy people pay huge amounts of tax to the federal government.

I would say their corporations pay a disproportionately large amount of the tax. But most keep their personal income very low if they can help it.
I'm a big believe in a Consumption Tax, that way everyone pays. It does not matter if you are here illegally, a drug dealer, or fine upstanding citizen. Additionally it removes 90% of the IRS. So they and accountants can go get the new high tech jobs of the future.

Race is most certainly a classification that you can research on your own. The big problem is that the term has been misused in sociological contexts to evil ends.

The classification that you are looking for that makes us all humans is species. Species can reproduce and have viable offspring, e.g. offspring that can reproduce and have viable offspring. A real life example would be a horse and a donkey. They can reproduce but their offspring, mules, cannot reproduce. We are most certainly biologically the same species. To reduce racial differemces to measures of melanin is simplistic. There are plenty of racial differences many that are not identifiable to untrained biologists. This is actually the diversity many long to embrace.

Biologically, excluding race when discussing humans due to sensitive sociological and political points is valid. In a strictly biological sense it is absurd to even the least educated individual to deny that there is no such thing as race.

The most interesting research being conducted is whether humans and earlier forms of humans like Neanderthals could produce viable offspring. I'm not sure geneticists have solved that mystery.

The top 40% pays 106% of the federal taxes in this country. Bottom 40% takes 9% through refundable credits. Middle 20% pays 3%. obviously that doesn't take into account other taxes like FICA, sales, property, etc which can eat into the disposable income of the middle class at a higher percentage than the wealthy; but the wealthy already pay more than their fair share of federal taxes.

I worked with some wealthy clients who paid very little due to flow through losses, rehab credits, conservation and land preservation credits, some with oil and gas incentives, etc. But they also lost money on some of these investments, and paid a lot of money in order to take some of these credits.

We have a lot of issues in our country; and I'm still baffled how we can pass annual budgets with expected $400B losses.....which inevitably grow to $600B+. Somehow the wealthy and the "evil" corporations have become the scapegoat.

I'm starting to ramble now, so I'll stop.
