Its the perfect job for a guy who has a huge and growing Texas recruiting network.
Hells yes we want him gone. Derp

That's sad. You should want your program to rise to our level, not hope and pray for us to fall down to yours.

We thought Fuente wouldn't take Virginia Tech if we offered him 3 million. He still left because it was VT. Herman will most likely do the same because it's LSU with tradition and prestige.

Watch out next #LSU coach. You can go 114-34 just like Les Miles and get fired, too.

there is more than one factor going into this

and someone please quote the 500 times ecu fans said something with this narrative last offseason

"Do Houston fans seriously think Herman wouldn't leave for South Carolina???"

its like a cycle with you guys ...

I don't think that's the job he wants--no. He might take it, but Herman has a pretty cushy place to wait for the UT job to open. If Strong's team ends up winning the Big12----maybe Herman takes it, but I think he will wait for the UT job.

Here's a name that's worth kicking around for discussions sake...Art Briles...I hear he is available and he could start Monday morning.....Can you imagine a Briles offense paired with an LSU defense?

Herman spotted kissing LSU fans. 07-coffee3

It would stink to lose him in the AAC.

What do USC and Notre Dame have to do with anything, if LSU (as your thread title suggests) is a done deal?

We already know what's going to happen. Herman will stay in Houston. Everyone on this board will eventually say he was never offered. Houston and Herman continue to punch this conference in the face. Next year this same thread will be started with another school name in LSUs place.

lol....He'd have a better go of it than disappearing Fred landing the Liberty Bowl for the AAC. Still patiently waiting on that Big FedEx money to do darn thing for the AAC.

What do you mean, outbid? College football coaching salaries are pocket change to Tillman. What is LSU going to do, offer Herman $100 million/year? lol

Once you land a multi-billionaire as your BOR chairman, money becomes a non-issue.

If Houston is offer Big12 membership, Ohio State and Texas may even take a back seat as well.

There's so much going on here in Houston, Herman and his family love every bit of it.
