Well, certainly not the Wyoming or western hospitality you'd find out in God's Country. I guess too much of that rust belt living. Chill dude. You'll live longer. 04-cheers

Us rust belters just prefer not to waste our time with disingenuous folks who come on our board and think they can spread misinformation, get called on it, and then turn around and play the victim.

I've mis-represented nothing. Wyoming had the second youngest team in the FBS last year. Freshman or Redshirt, no matter, they were still playing in their first time in meaningful games.

Look, the Eagles put it to the Cowboys, there's no argument there. I think the Eagles will see a much improved team, particularly on defense. If EMU is improved, well good, it makes for a more interesting game.

I think the game will be close, and like all football games, it will come down to the team the executes the best and makes the fewest turnovers. Not rocket science. So, if this is so egregious, sorry.

Thanks for posting.

Appreciate a view from the 'other side' otherwise, we have an 'echo chamber' where
EMU fans simply echo other EMU fans.

I appreciated it. I like engaging the opponent's fans to learn more about the next game.

BTW, per the print edition of USA Today, WYO is a 2 point favorite.

EDIT: a website which tracks Vegas, etc. has WYO a 3.5 point favorite (that is the line from the Wynn Casino).

BTW, for those who were wondering but never asked:

A win Friday would give EMU a 3 - 1 record.

The last time we started 3 - 1 was 1995 before many EMU students were born...

(BTW2, for those who don't remember the 1995 season, EMU started like a house on fire before getting derailed at Toledo and slumping to finish 6 - 5. We looked like a 7 - 4 or even 8 - 3 team).

BTW, those who followed EMU FB in 1994 and 1995 realize how close || we came to having a rebuilt program with significant potential to be VERY good.

Over the last half of the 1994 season (5 - 1) and the first 5 games of the 1995 season (4 - 1), EMU went 9 - 2.

EMU then went on a slide and has never recovered...

RE: Wyoming Cowboys
From what I have seen Wyoming is a completely different team home vs away. Gotta be the altitude or the fact that it's a pain in the ass traveling across the country.

Idk much about either team but thus far the line probably shouldn't be more than a score in favor of Wyoming. Have to assume they are improved from last year.

........sure, makes a lot of sense. And you actually took the time to visit our board and drop that brilliant assessment?

Thanks so much George.

Thanks so much George.

That's my mistake, I was looking at Wyoming-UC Davis to get a feel for how good Wyoming actually is since they beat NIU. But it appears NIU is in a rebuilding year since they are 0-3. But then again, NIU has won 6 straight MACW titles. It seems reasonable that a 1 score favor for Wyoming considering they beat NIU and an FCS team and got throttled by Nebraska. EMU beat an FCS team, and Charlotte who is essentially FCS, and got throttled by Mizzou. I think the line seems reasonable? Do you not?

I don't know much about Wyoming. They were terrible last year and seem to be improved this year. I think they should be favored but not by a ton. EMU looks to be improved vastly. They probably lose to Charlotte last year or in years past. Any win is a good win for the MAC. I know they have a stud RB and their QB was injured in this game last year.

I'm sorry I am not expecting an EMU victory nor am I intently watching every EMU game. From what I do know, which I typically have a decent read on MAC teams, EMU is much better than last year. Sorry to hear about your RB.

I post my thoughts on EMU, NIU, WMU and UT because those are active. If you have a problem with it, do the keyboard warrior thing and report me.

I'm not trolling at all. I said I think Wyoming will win a close game. You are welcome to go on ChippewasInsider and post your thoughts.

I honestly could care less, as long as you're not here being an *ss.

Would never spend time on another board. Waste too much time here, but just can't help myself.

Wow.

At first he is sitting on the sideline without his helmet, but no obvious pain and now he out for the year... :(

As I have previously posted, Shaq has already burned his redshirt year. So this season for him is one game + one carry in the 2nd game.

This is the PROBLEM with redshirt years in football: Injuries happen. Using a redshirt to develop a freshman or because of too much depth at a position sounds good, but IF an injury happens later it means a lost season.

This isn't as much a problem in MBB as major injuries aren't as common as in FB.

That sucks. Incredible opportunity for Turner though.

Shaq should qualify for a medical red shirt.
