Sucks to lose. He probably wouldn't have cared, had the outcome been different.

RE: Wyoming Cowboys
So, I flew in from Texas to come to this game. It's the first game I've been to in five years. Boy, was it worth it!
A few observations:
1) The silver turf made it really difficult to follow the ball. Maybe I'm just getting old?
2) The DL was superb. We have a real defense now. When was the last time we had a decent defense? The 80s? What a thrill.
3) The O was great, with one exception. And when my boy Roback entered the game, I knew we were going to win. For realz.
I was a bit misty eyed after the game. The last time we were 3-1, it was 1995 and I was a freshman. That was a long time ago. This was without a doubt the biggest win I've ever witnessed for our program. I feel we can compete with most teams in the MAC, outside of Western who is on another plane right now. The tide is turning, I just wish I was around for more games. ; ) I really didn't want to leave the stadium tonight.
I think I saw Katman! He was wearing a crazy EMU fedora and complaining about concessions not having napkins. Carl was that you?
During the game I was on the visitors side (where I usually sit) minding my own business, when a Wyoming fan aggressively told me I was sitting on the wrong side of the stadium. He wasn't laughing. I smiled and told him to have fun getting crushed in Mountain West games.
I'm glad we beat those aholes.

Gotta say, if now is our time to rise, I'm glad it's Chris Creighton who's leading us. Great guy.

Two years in a row, no less. I'm sure that when they scheduled this home-and-home, they thought it would be an easy couple of OOC wins. Oops.

Thanks Frank! This was an awesome night. I'm going to try to come once per year from now on. Life is too short. Enjoy it when you can, right?

RE: Wyoming Cowboys
There should not be any QB controversy. Roback showed his experience and maturity in this game. There are no more Mississippi valley or Charlotte on the schedule. If these coaches want to do anything in the MAC, we need to go with Roback! Porter has 8 Ints. in 4 games. Roback had 11 for the whole season last year.

Thanks, Mr. Roback. We are well aware. Brogan should start against BGSU.
It's nice to finally have a defense that that can get off the field and allow the offense to run a gameplan. This will be a bowl team, if the D can continue to play at this level.

Caught the second half and really enjoyed it. EMU looked solid.
Seems to be some young players playing big roles in this win- Calhoun (Freshman) and Erickson (sophmore).
Defense seemed stronger than I usually expect from an EMU team.
And I was very impressed with the punter.
Go EMU!!
The OL got a lot of kudos for a job well done, but I'm still surprised at how well the DL is playing (even though we were touting it all summer).
The DL is really deep. Besides the studs like O'Connor and Harris, I see great things for Crosby. He needs a lot of weight but if he can put on good weight he'll be a stud. Maxx plays very well for a redshirt frosh. Long, lean DE who can rush the QB. He doesn't look 265 to me.
the season is young yet alot of football to play but despite all the griping about EMU's recruiting rankings I like all the JUCO WRs, Calhoun and Kilby among others, we started two true frosh in the DB and Davis and McGill also played as true frosh DB, I think Sexton long term will be a player. And Christie, Armstrong, Pavletich Leatiota are among the young guys on the OL Pickett is a nice backup LB and we have nice rotation at the DL. Despite last night Porter is better than advertised.

I not as positive it will be Roback but we'll see. Agree if Roback is the starter its because Porter put himself there, still alot I like about Porter's games for a guy who purportly can't run, he acquits himself well in that department.

When was the last time we beat a nonconference FBS team on our field?

Got alot of work to do this season Frank, but yes I want CC to succeed here, lots of hard work, it took courage and probably difficult to let the old DC go but this season is proof that it was the right move and getting DB and DL coaches with solid FBS creds helps big time. And honestly I think DeBoer's playing calling as improved this season, actually the team has improved in all aspects. Perhaps our patience will be rewarded this season and hopefully recruits take notice we're getting more competitive each game.

As far as i am concerned Wyoming can leave they're fans home, they booed and yelled insults at the student protester after the game! For my part yelled back at telling them to just shut up and leave!
