...why are we still flying a UMass flag along with the MAC school flags at the Glass Bowl. Take the damn thing down--they aren't in the MAC anymore.

Seriously though, I thought this was the best UT has looked this season, early though it is. Game was really set up by our D in my opinion. Makes it a lot easier for your offense when they start almost every drive at the 40-45 yard line. Pretty balanced attack on offense, as well.

Corey Jones may win us a game this season...but it seems like every game he makes a mental error on one return. The decision to field a bouncing ball near the sideline at the 1 yard line and then quickly proceed to step out of bounds wasn't a great moment for him. In a tight game that may be the difference.

Yeah, tough to find many things wrong with this game. Roberts should have hauled in a couple of those passes. Most of their offensive yards came on that one long TD pass, I chalk that one up to our "hopefully" third team defense being in the game. Yes, fielding that kick at the one was a bone head move. As dominating as the D has been, we still need to get some turnovers. Is it just me or is Hunt slower this year than last year? Swanson and Thompson hits the hole so much faster.

I love how we are playing disciplined and so far I don't think we've taken one of those dumb delay penalties for not getting the play off. Over all our defense looks bigger, faster and stronger than last year. The DL just collapses the line of scrimmage.

It seems like we only use a scholarship on a kicker once every 4 years, but it may be worth getting one in this next class. Then again, maybe Vest is just having the sophomore jinx season. It's early, but I remember being more impressed with him when he was a true freshman last season. For now, I'm glad we don't have to count on kicking FGs to win games.

Kicking has been inconsistent. What's with all the short KO's? I don't recall us doing that last year did we? The kicking game should not be an after-thought.
Cory Jones seems kinda rusty.
What was with throwing 2 long bombs when we're backed up at our own 2? (or 4, whatever it was) That was silly.
2nd half was a little sloppy.

On the positive side it was good to see a lot of new guys get some reps. We haven't had such talent and depth at WR in I don't know when.

I thought Fresno would be the best team we had played so far. They might be the worst.

Great to be where we are after 3 warm-up games, but there is work to do. Nice to have the bye week to run, run, run.

Liking this team and coaching staff. Always room to improve, but seem to be keeping their collective foot on the opponent's throat, not letting them get back into the game like always seemed to happen the past few years. Did happen a little against stAte but that was the first game. Take no prisoners!!!

Considering its UMess, don't take down the flag. Set it at half-staff.

All last year as I recall. Couldn't put it deep so went high and short so coverage could get there. Don't have a recollection the year before that though.

Ultimately, we're going to want someone that can keep that ball out of a dangerous returner's hands.
