That was a foolish call. He basically decided a close loss was the best case scenario...

Trent Miles irritates me.
As soon as the third down pass hit the ground I knew we were punting. So Miles.

And excellent time for a fake punt. I believe it was in the playbook.

Prolly but you've played a team that is In The top 10 closer than anyone would have expected. Buckle your chinstrap and go hard for it.

Sorry. I'm still salty over the ULL call last year. Now 2-9 in 1 possession games under Miles.

A successful fake will usually be better when the other team is caught off guard by what you are doing. The ULL game, the ball state game when they didn't opts to throw and ran scaife even though ball state knew what was going to happen. I'm still salty over last night. Go for it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Ah...Scaife...the near apparent TO Robert Lytle. Their motto is Rushing is Futile. Why we keep bringing Scaife on on designed QB runs that everyone in the stadium knows are designed QB runs is beyond me.

The sarcasm was badly placed. It wasn't a situation you could fake punt. But you take ULL late in the 4th that we are up on, deep in our territory, and you fake punt. Here you have 3 min left with 1 time out down by a score to a P5 team, and you punt. Those situations where a G5 can beat a ranked P5 don't come along often. And when a defining moment comes along, you define the moment... or the moment defines you. - Roy McAvoy
