We won the second half 20-10, had a QB go 18/26 for 277yds, 1TD 1INT, and managed to get at least somewhat of a running game going. Again... the first half was horrendous but the second half at least showed that the team as a whole has potential.
If we avoided the penalties and turnovers in the first half, we win that ball game based solely on the second half performance. That's "showing up".
You guys played well for a little over one quarter in three games. You guys have a long way to go. Bright side is that no one gave up. Penalties are going to kill you guys in SBC play if Anderson doesn't get a hold of his team.
State has had a tough schedule to break in two new QBs and a host of other transfers. I think this shows more or less where they lie in the national conversation but is no indication of how they will play in conference. From top to bottom, State is one of if not the most talented team and in Sun Belt play, that's generally enough sadly.
