There's a certain aura of automatic "f you" type responses and behaviors during interactions with police from the majority of the BLM crowd. That's exactly what gets people killed.
Sure, there are isolated incidents in which use of force is used beyond reason. Those need to be dealt with and fixed. The incident in Tulsa, the officer is already charged with a felony, first degree manslaughter. That's a no joke prison sentence coming her way. Could have been avoided if she used more caution in terms of use of force.
Regardless, the BLM community and their supporters need to stop demanding police accept all the responsibility and work towards improving their attitudes and interactions with police on a daily basis.
IMO, the root problem is a growing lack of respect for authority that has festered in this country in the last several decades.
That's the M.O. of today's society in general, people absolutely refuse to take responsibility for the parts they play in situations.

RE: NCAA Pulls 7 championship events out of North Carolina
I think there is a vast difference between what we see on TV and what is happening. There is no doubt in my mind that the protests in Charlotte turned into a riot, as is the case in many other cities. However, it is important to note that it did start peacefully and continued peacefully.
For example the protest at UNCC where students just lied down in the student union, or how the protest in charlotte was simply a march through uptown to begin with.
The problem is, that people view these protests as an opportunity, if chaos starts to happen people come out and just begin trashing things. I think it is important to separate the BLM movement from those that just want to cause damage.

is it?
Here is a quote from one of their leaders:
"She said later, “We don’t sit on panels with law enforcement, and we don’t have BBQ’s or cookouts with law enforcement. We feel the best method at this point in history is by holding police accountable by organizing and advocating for police accountability." there have been several others suggesting violence against police. I don't have the time to track them down.

While I am sure there are some within the movement that advocate violence against police, that is not shared by everyone. If this was the case then the protests in Charlotte would have started violently and not with a march through uptown into the epicenter where the police AND protesters were maintaining a respectable space and peace between one another.
The quote you provided in no way condones violence. The definition of accountable is to: require or expect justifications for actions or be held responsible. And that essentially translates to justice being served. There are instances where Cops have absolutely been in the right in their actions and their have been cases where they have not been in the right, and that quote is simply expressing that in cases where they are not in the right, that they get held to the same standard as an everyday citizen.

20 members of the ECU band decided to kneel yesterday. Needless to say the crowd did not appreciate their protest
