This isn't the same as getting screwed on a pass interference or holding call

It was my understanding that it was a called 4th down play to run out what was left on the clock.

Snap the ball to the fastest guy on the team and run backwards for four seconds.

Or PJ at Tech because we did that during a NC game. Even took a safety. We won. You are going to snap it anyway why risk a penalty or having the ball slip out of your hand. It was four seconds right?

I will take the job for half of whatever they pay the HC though.

It's every sport. I kn0w basketball doesn't get the respect on this board, but UTA's Kevin Hervey shot a three in Austin last year that gets called a two. After the coaches are aware of the issue, it is brought to the attention of the refs, who said too much time passed and they can't add the point. The game finishes tied in regulation. UT-Austin wins in OT.

Same principle here. Feel slightly bad that is it OSU rather than OU or UT-Austin, but given the B.S that goes on cause the NCAA can't stand up to the Power 5 conference schools, I can't feel that bad.

Again, not the same thing. That's a judgement call, this wasn't.

You do, because you keep responding.

First response to ya pallly, you got the wrong duuuude. The thing I dont care about is what the call was. A blown call is a blown call. Happens to G5's more than P5's sooooooo I dont care that OSU got screwed.

RE: OT: CMU Hail Mary
Against Georgia Tech two years ago we had a bad pitch ruled as an incomplete pass incorrectly overturned by the refs. It was blatant enough that the ACC Commissioner's office called Willie Fritz to apologize. Don't feel for OSU.

How so?

The refs judgement was the game was not over based on intentional grounding.

The refs judgement was that too much time had passed.

Don't see much a difference. The only one I can really see is that the "big" school got the short end.

There is not judgement in the football example ... it's a plain not knowing a rule.
