Deadspin Top 25: Number 8 South Alabama
We all know this will likely change and hey, everyone's got a poll, right? Anyway, I was surprised at how informed the writer was about USA's strengths and weaknesses and even the individual personnel.

Didn't have time to go through the entire Top 25 to see if any other SBC or G5 teams are included. If so, please feel free to attach a link or a list...

Deadspin 25: South Alabama Already Downed One SEC Team. Who's Next?

Quote:... Thing is, like Mississippi State, the South Alabama wasn’t all that good in 2015—that happens when your program is a mere seven years old. They haven’t posted a record above .500 since joining the Sun Belt in 2012. A season ago, the Jaguars finished 5-7, good for fifth in the conference and no postseason appearance, and seemed well on their way to another season of mediocrity in the nation’s worst football conference. RE: Deadspin Top 25: Number 8 South Alabama
"Our stance on preseason polls is unwavering: They are an antiquated, ridiculous practice that amount to the consecration of lazy narratives and give random sportswriters deemed credible by the Associated Press an unreasonable amount of influence on the college football and basketball seasons. These polls, however, are now ingrained in the college athletics system; rather than merely criticize and ridicule them, the Deadspin 25 argues that if we’re going to have them, we may as well prove that the masses, with your internet access and odd love for college sports, are just as capable of arriving at worthy and/or ridiculous opinions as a group of beat writers the AP likes."

I can agree with that paragraph.
