"How much longer will the Jags have to act like Ladd-Peebles Stadium in midtown Mobile is a home field advantage? That's like wearing your brother's hand-me-down sweater vest, expecting to get lucky". Lolz.

It (playing in the downtown off campus stadium) worked out pretty well for Miami in the 1980's and early 90's. Home is what you make of it although nobody will argue that it isn't more desirable to be on campus.

I read that in a Dennis Miller voice. Very well done.

I've only been through Mobile once, but I do hope to go down there for a game one day, be it a bowl or a USA game involving App. How far is Ladd from campus?

It is about 7 miles from Ladd to campus. 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic.

Thanks. I can see where that might be a problem for some students, say freshmen, but for alumni, and those who live in apartments and commute to campus in a car, it's no more than a short trip. Still, there's nothing like a good on-campus tailgate.

It's more a problem than that. It might be a 20-25 minute drive, but there isn't a lot of parking at the stadium. Most students have to take a shuttle and a lot of them just don't wanna do that.

Parking would be a problem. Especially for a possible App bowl trip.

You'd just go to the mall and take the shuttle. It's 2.50 round-trip. Either that or you could park in a nearby resident's yard, but I never do that myself.

Is tailgating allowed in the mall lot?

Umm... I don't see why not. But you could probably just drop off your tailgate things at the stadium and find a place to tailgate instead. I've seen other fans tailgating. We just need our own stadium because right now we don't have enough space.

That's picnicking. Besides, I'm not sure how I could store a tent, grill, big cooler, flag, generator, TV etc. while at the game. So, yeah, you guys need your own place.

From USA Campus its like a 30 - 40 min ride to Ladd-Peoples. Hopefully the win will help get us some donors to get an OCS and see the improvements the past number of years of the campus.

You'll be fine at the bowl game. We set up huge GSU tailgates there for the GoDaddy bowl. I am going this weekend for GSU @ USA and tailgating at the mall, so I'll let you know how it is. A stadium on campus is needed ASAP as Ladd is way too big for USA to compete in. You need a smaller stadium.

Looks like you guys ALMOST gave that game away to Miss St. Good thing the refs didn't see both #12's on the field during that last field goal. Otherwise that's 5 yards and a re-kick (I think).

Plus we had several more players on the field than 11, although both was after the play was over.
