Georgia State goes to a bowl game and still can't draw well the following season. What is it going to take to get butts in the seats?

We did extremely well to draw 26K considering it was in direct competition with High School Football.

FCS, where fannies in the stands doesn't matter. What will a new stadium at The Ted do to help matters?

RE: 1st Week SBC Home Attendances
We had the making of a great crowd but 1100 am start in 90 degree weather put an end to that. We were lucky to have 22,600 hopefully we will do much better with McNeese coming to town. Oh and Boise State brought a good crowd I was impressed.

I hear that the coke bottles at the Ted will be retrofitted to point at the field and blast money instead of just dropping it. That's a fun new thing.

EDIT: comment was meant to quote Eric instead of chiefs

A couple of consecutive 8 win seasons and some actual marketing.

The good news is that apart from threads like this, they matter about as much in FBS as they do in FCS.

With that said, I do hope that we eventually figure out a formula that lets us announce more than 12,233 for our opener. Panama's suggestions would be a great start.

Checking other G-5 conference game attendances and surprised that many were less than 20k. For instance, both the F_U teams had less than 15k and several MAC teams had less than 20 thousand . MWC teams not much better. Check out -the score- site.

Yes... Exactly... That's your problem.

The vast majority of college football fans in and around ATL are either rooting for someone else or reading the paper like your emoji.

Hmm. And that was with FIU hosting a P5 (although I don't imagine Indiana football is a huge draw in Miami). Does thescore.com have a specific page for attendance?

the writer on that site is unaware that the jags beat miss state..not listing that game in his list of p5 upsets..

You seem overly concerned [cough] 34-7 [cough] with what goes on with our program

Its usually embedded in each game's write up. The NCAA has official numbers after the last game is played each week.

Gotcha, thanks. Thought maybe there was a better way than going one box score at a time. I do appreciate that there's usually someone on this board that will take the time to put stuff like that into list/table form...!

If GA St. fans cared as much about the GA St. program as GS fans do attendance wouldn't be a problem for them.
