Southerners/FCS fans -- is Jackson St. any good? I have UNLV circled as our most interesting OOC game this year, and they pretty much destroyed Jackson St. last night. How impressive is that?

If it was Jackson State the HBCU...they are not very good.

They are among the very worst teams in the FCS conferences that can offer a full FCS complement of scholarships.

In his combined ratings, Sagarin has them ranked 237 of 253 teams.

For reference, Eastern Michigan beat Miss Valley State 61-14, and Jackson State is about on the same level.

Jackson State has won 6 games over the last two years and they're replacing the coach. They'll probably be a 3-win team again this year.

JSU's band is much better than Idaho's band, but the only way Idaho actually loses the game is if they forfeit.
