Good enough for getting his feet wet with his new team. Besides, he's in the Pac 12 now, so he won't have the problem of his conference dragging him down.

The fighting Eustachy's on the 20th will be a challenge.

Are you seriously listing St. Mary's as a blah team. They went 29-6 last year.
Weber State went 26-9.
Idaho - 21-13.

It's a pretty good schedule.

Eustachy barely broke 500 last year. He hasn't done much since leaving USM. I guess it is harder to get good players to Colorado Springs than it is to Hattiesburg. That sounds like something Big Dee would say.

He has put together alternating .500 years and really good years.

I'll give you St. Mary's. The other two have RPI's well over 100. Quit drinking the kool-aid.

Koolaid or not, if UAB has a non conf home schedule of teams primarily n the 100's, that is a good schedule compared to our normal schedule.

Yep. That's all you need to do to keep decent rpi numbers.

UAB should really consider legacy arena if it could help. All this reminds me of that Gonzaga rumor of Davis era.

UAB did NOT prove it was better than Auburn last year. Hopefully, we can correct our issues on the road and against P5 teams, or we may enter the CUSA slate with a .500 or worse record.

USM beat an SEC basketball school in football last weekend. UKY has had poor FB recruiting classes for many years. UA and AU have the reverse problem in basketball recruiting since they are both perceived to be football schools and have trouble attracting many top BB recruits (even during Sanderson's reign, UA had no more than two "stud players" at a time). UAB does not have such a clearly perceived sports ID, especially after 12/2/14.

Chances are that UAB will continue to compete with AU more effectively in BB with its present program unless Bruce Pearl surprises us all..

We would kill for kentuckys poor classes in football. And Alabama has recruited much better than you indicate. Why you continue to harp on Football schools can't recruit in other sports is beyond me.

UAB might also kill for the millions of dollars UKY has because of its conference connection and thereby its recruiting budget. UKY has finished #13 or worse in SEC FB ranking the last few recruiting years. Johnson at Bama may improve their BB recruiting, but that remains to be seen. Recruits don't count for much if they transfer out or get kicked off the team after a season or two, and that has been a problem at UA and AU in the past.

OUR state's football schools have not shown that they can recruit the best HS/JUCO BB players in quantity so far. Maybe that is about to change, but hasn't been proven yet.

No. Alabama has recruited great high school recruits. The fact that you refuse to accept the fact that this has happened does not make it true.

Rather than load up on Miles College and 3 teams from the SWAC I'd like to see some of the better programs from the following southern conferences rotate on/off our schedule:

Big South: Winthrop, Coastal Carolina, UNC-Asheville
Southern Conference: Chattanooga, Wofford
Colonial Athletic: William & Mary, James Madison, UNC-Wilm
Ohio Valley: Belmont, Murray State, Morehead State
Sun Belt: Ark Little Rock, UL-Monroe

All have had quality teams of late and shouldn't be as difficult to schedule as many other programs

All of those teams are great candidates, however, keep it mind they are all doing the same thing we are. They want to play the big teams for money and/or exposure. I'd imagine Chatty and Belmont are having as much trouble finding games as we are.
