Solid way to head into conference play, which begins this weekend with 2 home matches: Northeastern (# 272 RPI) on Friday night at 7; Hofstra (# 106) on Sunday at 1.

Where are you seein RPI posted? It looks what your numbers are using last year's RPI

2016 RPI Rankings for Volleyball have not been released by the NCAA. I think it will be at least a week or two before they release the first RPI rankings for 2016.

Oops, my bad. I saw "9-2" for their home record and thought that was overall record.

Maybe we'll get some votes in the coaches poll this week? We received no votes on Sep 12.

A couple things went wrong, both of which are fixable next season:

* The loss of assistant coach AJ Bonetti to Tennessee was big. Reminded me of when Buzz Peterson lost Matt McMahon. Bonetti's "swing blocking" scheme was a big part of our success in '14-15. However, I expect after a full season getting used to his absence we'll come back next year with the proper adjustments. Maybe not to the tune of a 24-8 type of season, but certainly a much more competitive campaign.

* We struggled in the middle. The loss of Libero/Defensive Specialist Lindsay Hartmann to graduation was big. Sydney Alvis performed admirably as her replacement, but she was just a sophomore this year. Another year of seasoning and she'll make great progress.

The times I saw her play she struggled as a setter. I really hate to pick on players, but she seemed to be a weak link. Doesn't mean she can't improve in the off season.
