Will Halftime now be known as Ramadan? Will they serve lamb instead of bratwurst?
So many questions....

I wish the MW had someone that would do a pregame show that focused on the MW games and now other P5 games. BeIN is going to be a bigger player and CUSA will increase that average viewership exponentially. We'll see after the first few games on BeIN what there ratings are going to be. They could be a much bigger player for the G5 conferences.

It's nice for CUSA fans....but nobody is going to go hunt down BeIn to see a CUSA game who isn't already a CUSA fan.

Its pretty much the same for us on ESPN3 even though that is a lot easier to find.

If they expand and try for a G5 network, then you could get somewhere. Hard to arrange though.

That's true. But Ive said for a while that there is a opening for a sports network to grab a large, college educated, affluent audience by using the Fox News strategy. Conservatives were largely ignored, or worse yet, lampooned by the more liberal leaning main stream press corp. When Fox took a more conservative slant to the news, they immediately grabbed a huge underserved and ignored audience. They quickly became the number one news network because they took the audience that nobody else was going after.

That opportunity is out there for the first sports network that treats the G5 schools seriously, thoughtfully, and gives them the level of coverage currently reserved for the P5.

If you think about it, the combined 60 or so schools of the G5 have a total fan base that would dwarf any single P5 conference. Treat that group as a huge P5 conference and you immediately become the sports network those fans tune in for games, highlights, and pre/post game shows.

Ive always thought CBS-Sports was best suited to do that because they already have CUSA, AAC, MAC, and MW inventory. All they would need to do is buy a few Sunbelt games from ESPN and they would be set.

I think the main advantage for CUSA fans is the opportunity to watch conference mates and get to know something about the "newbee's" . What would take years of occasional seeing teams now will be available throughout this season. I think it's fantastic. I don't watch power 5 games, I just don't , but I'm looking forward to seeing beIN broadcast of our games and talking CUSA. I Don't care if it's 100 or 100,000 viewers
