Good move, if Eskridge is playing a lot of CB it'll be good to have someone with experience. Looks like more of a possession receiver than big play threat.. which is kind of what we've been missing.

Didn't realize the extent of both of their injuries. Kind of puts a damper on expectations for them.

We got a PWO commitment from Portage Central's RB Kris Hodgson.

Reminds me of Bogan's running style; north-south with good vision through the line. He looks like a tough guy and a hard worker.

Ha ha I was going to comment all his cuts are to the outside, ends up at the sideline.

I guess when I say "north-south," I mean he doesn't use many jump cuts, or stops and starts. I guess most people may think that means running people over or never cutting towards the sideline. Hodgson uses space effectively. His running looks very "hard-work"; he's not going to outrun everyone or dance around everyone, he's going to get as many yards as possible with subtle moves. He does tend to be more shifty on his kick returns.

To me, Bogan is a north-south back, while Franklin is not, with more of an all-purpose running style.

Bogan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Znem-_ppf5k
Franklin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8a0Llp172Q

Chase Brown is north-south. I would say Bellamy doesn't have a shifty running style (because he's just too damn fast to waste his speed).

Looks like a good back. Should fit the scheme ok. I think he’d work good with Eleby.

When I saw a Portage RB committed I hoped it was this one...

Another grad transfer. Tim Collins from Tenn Tech added. Defensive line. Good depth pick up.

Guy put up some pretty good numbers in FCS but I wonder if 6'5" 250 is accurate..

We got a JuCo running back transfer. Ran for 2471 yards (6.2 YPC) and 33 TDs in 2 seasons. Big, strong runner.

RB Devan Bass - Modesto Junior College - 6'2" 205 lbs.

Makes me much more comfortable about rb depth chart.

There is a lot to be said for a back who has 2 full seasons of playing experience in a feature role. Seemingly has been very durable.

Good move.

Good to hear! Filling some holes. At the same time, I'd have preferred someone transferring from FBS or FCS.

This seems to be quite a good get. Was a top 100 JUCO recruit according to 247.

If there is one thing this staff has in common with the Fleck staff is their ability to reload without missing a beat! We need to maintain that momentum ...

Fits right in with our offense, one cut through and then run to daylight. I feel much more comfortable, so now we're only playing a freshman if needed for injury or because they are that darn good.

I hope this works out well for us with all the recent turnover at a critical scoring position. I’m not one to email coaches and I never have before but I did back in July when a work acquaintance’s son, Niccolo Seilo, was starting to get notice during his senior year kicking for UofD Jesuit. He worked with Jason Hanson in the offseason and did well at Kohl’s kicking camp 2018 (top 10 of 206 in FGs, 151 of 406 in KOs) Ranked 44th in Kornblue kickings Fab50 upperclassmen. I emailed our staff again after Josh Grant decided to Xfer, no reply. He has decent hang time on his punts, kicks off consistently into the end zone and can hit from 50+. He announced his commitment today to Wayne St. a week after getting a PWO offer from MSU.

Beat out WSUs 2 senior kickers. Drilled a 45 yarder in practice to save team from running sprints last week, carried off the field ala Rudy. 5 for 5 on XPs in 1st game.

Were there 70,000 in the stands or 700?
