How the 2016 MLB Draft affected the CAA
With the deadline to sign draft picks passed, it is possible to see what CAA players drafted will not be returning to their respective schools, adjusting the talent level around the league. For example, NU starting pitching takes a big hit with both Civale and Hunt leaving. CofC does not lose Bailey Ober, unfortunately.

Juniors or red-shirt juniors drafted who will not be returning for their final season:

Gavin Stupienski, (CA, UNCW)
Bradley Jones (1B, CofC)
Nick Zammarelli, (3B, Elon)
Chris Hall (RHP, Elon)
Brady Policelli (CA, Towson)
Aaron Civale (RHP, NU)
Dustin Hunt (RHP, NU)

Incoming freshmen who were drafted and signed and thus will not be coming to campus:

D.J. Daniels (OF, JMU commit)
Kyle Young (LHP, Hofstra commit - he's 6'10"!)

Incoming freshmen who were drafted but did NOT sign (aka potential impact players in the CAA):

Jamie Sara (RHP, WM)
George Kirby (RHP, Elon)
James Reilly (RHP, JMU)

The incoming freshmen lists may be incomplete. For example, Perfect Game inexplicably did not list D.J. Daniels as drafted but I remembered his name from a different thread talking about JMU losing a QB recruit to the MLB draft. Also, Reilly was not listed as a JMU commit on Perfect Game but an article on JMU's website about their incoming class lists him. Really shocked that I could find no CofC or UNCW recruits that were drafted. Surely there is at least one out there.
