Okay, so what does this mean for the AAC going forward? Your Aresco, what do you do know with the horses you have in the stable?

We stick together and try to win a few ny6 bowls and maybe another bball national championship. Then we try and use that leverage to get more tv money.

Well at this point the "we" is a must. If we don't stick together espn could use that against us.

Agree with the sticking together part. What else is there to do, after all?

I wouldn't be too surprised if OU was lining up with the Big Ten or SEC at this point.

The LHN will always block expansion. Any talk is just placating the weaker members that see the writing on the wall, imo. Do you really think its more?

AD's have already made thier recommendation to Presidents. Right now meeting is pro forma. Call it due diligence but expansion is over for now.

I figure that as soon as they announce there will be no expansion, we will all act like we want to stay together while secretly working behind the scenes to get into the Big 12. Then next year when it is brought up (since the big 12 is the biggest drama whore out there) we will see again who positioned itself the best.... and of course they will again not expand and the cycle will continue.... cause theres nothing better than all of us acting like whores that nobody wants every year.

and in 2019 ESPN will up our pay enough that we act like things are better but it will still be drastically less than what were worth.

If the Big 12 were smart, they'd add USF, UCF, UC, Memphis, UConn and Temple. They'd also vote out Baylor and replace them with Houston but, I've never been one to believe them to be all too bright. So, I'll refrain from suggesting that they'll do the smart thing now.

They will sit on their folded hands and wait until Texas decides what conference they're moving to.

We all know that Texas will leave in 2024 anyhow....and all of us will end up in a conference with the Big 12 leftovers. Ive never thought that WVU, TCU, Baylor, KSU and ISU had any chance of landing anywhere else.... Kansas "maybe".

You take those 5, add a few MWC, BYU and the best of the AAC and its a decent conference. We just have to wait at this point.

and yes, I agree with your post, but Texas has never been bright. THey have been so one sided and arrogant that theyve nearly destroyed their conference twice.
