I would love to see this lead to a home and home for basketball. As far as the 2 and 1 I agree with you 100%, but because of Temple having to rebuild from the many lost football years I don’t have a problem with it for programs like Oklahoma and Notre Dame. Penn State on the other hand is one I would like to see as home and home or not at all (I have a real dislike for PSU).

2 games with Maryland and 4 with Rutgers are already on the future schedule and all of those are home and home series so I’m not too worried.

PSU should definitely be a home and home for y'all. I can only imagine how many alumn they have living in Philly.

2 for 1 for Oklahoma isn't too bad. Hell, we embarrassingly played a one and done with FL. If we had the same deal we could be hosting the Gators and playing at the swamp one more time.....

I'm hoping the Temple home portion is at our OCS. If not, at least the Linc. A neutral site would be unacceptable.

We have the option to choose where we play.

I don't believe we ever had an actual contract to back out of. Its was discussed but Holland wanted the first game in Greenville so they wouldn't buy out the return trip. Tennessee offered us a million dollars for a one-off and Holland countered with offering them 1 million to play in Greenville which they had no part of.

2024 game is in Norman OK
2025 the game is in Philly, at the on campus stadium if it’s built or the Linc if not, Oklahoma is fine with either.
2028 game is back in Norman.

OK is certainly one of the handful of teams worth a 2-1 deal for Temple. Congrats to us Owls!

As long as this league continues to improve, strength wise I mean, interest will increase from other leagues big name members.

As long as this league continues to improve, strength wise I mean, interest will increase from other leagues big name members.

In my opinion, Houston and Temple might be the two most sought after AAC programs for scheduling because of the size of the media markets. They are both referred to as future marquee slots in Oklahoma's official announcement. B12 may not be forming a network, but they still like eyeball potential.

I hope that game would come to Temple's campus instead of the local NFL Stadium...as having the game on-campus (obviously in a much smaller stadium), will help sell SEASON TIX for the year prior and current for suites, club seats, season tix, etc...because once Temple finally builds their on-campus stadium...if Temple moves ALL their big games to the NFL Stadium...it will devalue premium sales and even season tix sales at their on-campus stadium.

Let me start by saying I have no inside links to the athletic department, it’s just my opinion. That being said my gut feeling tells me that if and when Temple has an on campus stadium it will be used for all the home games.

Because of the size of Lincoln Financial Field and the availability of seats there is currently a lack of urgency when it comes to buying season tickets. For the same reason the secondary market for tickets operates at a pretty deep discount, currently there is very little need to purchase tickets in advance. A 35,000 – 40,000 seat stadium helps solve the problem and IMO leveraging marquee match ups like Oklahoma to sell season tickets will be part of the plan.

Based on the history Temple has with Laurie and the Eagles and the terms of the proposed new lease if Lincoln Financial Field was an option for a single game I’m sure it’s one that’s going to come with an extremely high price tag.

Just an FYI, as of April 2016, Tampa-St. Petersburg (Sarasota), FL is the #11 Media market in the US. right behind Houston at #10.

P.S. I think the American should invest in some form of a Conference Network. Our combination of DMA's with our growing brand would make for an interesting investment with a high probability of profit.

Great news! I see it as potential recruiting tool as well. "Come to Temple, we play big name Oklahoma". Sounds good to me, hopefully to the potential recruits as well.

Make sure you pucker up when applying the lipstick. The paycheck will make up for the pain.
