I thought Houston was favored against Memphis? It was at Houston.
We may have been (can't remember, honestly), but the consensus on here was that Memphis was the clear favorite to win it all since they beat Ole' Miss. Then when we won, that flipped to Navy.
I don't remember Navy being favored to win at Houston by anybody

You can provide the link on OddsShark, but here is the info on the opening line that you're looking for.
Quote:Navy’s rushing attack has amassed 1273 yards and 17 touchdowns in their last three games. To put that number into perspective, that is more rushing yards than eight teams have had all season long and more rushing touchdowns than 44 schools.
Houston is coming off their first loss of the season, a shocker to the then 5-5 UConn Huskies. The Cougars, who have averaged 43.5 points and 521 yards of offense per game this season, were held to 17 points and 318 total yards in the loss.
OPENING ODDS & COMPUTER PICK
The visiting Navy Midshipmen opened as 1.5-point underdogs in this one at BetOnline and most sportsbooks tracked here at Odds Shark. No total had been posted as of writing time check the live lines pages in the coming days to see where the number opened.
Prediction-scoring formulas run on this game pick a potential 39-36 result in favor of the Cougars. View the computer score prediction and who will win the pick on the moneyline for all upcoming NCAAF matchups here.

Yeah, I just went back 29 pages and looked at the Week 13 prediction threads...this board was overwhelmingly picking Navy. I don't recall FEELING like a favorite.

No one likes us. Even if they don't think we're going to, they're still going to pick and root for us to lose.
Like I said earlier in the thread, each week it was someone else that was going to win the AAC, and it only became us after we sacked PJ Walker and took over on downs.

It would have been interesting if navy had gone to the ny6 bowl.

Phil Steele's predictions are less refutable but also data driven off stats, albeit more proven stats. He's not predicting an undefeated season for UH either. It's simply unrealistic to expect.
I think we win 9 or 10 but Ward's health and emergence of a LB and running back are essential to that.
I'm hoping we run the table, but I'd sign right now for 9 wins. It's not as easy as most think to go from 13-1 to 11-3 or better. If anyone can pull it off though, it's Herman.
I say 12-2 but you just never know. You never know following UH football. If teams learn how to scheme better for Ward, it could make a difference. That said, they did a whole lot better than I thought last year ( I was thinking in a range from 8-5 to 10-3) so if the roster is getting bolstered, the trend should be maintained. Hopefully, the hiccup game can be eliminated.

Man, I hope they are way off. Go Coogs!
"But in its last five games before the impressive bowl win over the Seminoles, Houston averaged just a 31.76 Game Score. For reference, 0-12 Kansas had the worst average Game Score in the nation last year at 35.99."
Wait...what?
Wins over Cinci, Memphis, Navy and Temple netted a lower score that KU's avg for the season? WTF?
