'Boca Raton Memphis SMU'

I think you mean Memphis vs USM in the Boca Bowl...and I would LOVE that game.

5 of 8 against P5 opponents. Not bad.

I certainly wouldn't mind it, the Black and Blue bowl should be an annual rivalry game. However, Tiger fans travel much too well to fall all the way down to the Boca.

Just like last year, we will probably bump a higher ranked AAC team down to a lower tier bowl.

Tennessee is kinda a boring opponent. I hope we get to play a team we have more history with in the cotton bowl like Texas or Notre Dame.

Yeah, you guys deserve a P5 opponent after getting the shaft last year. I know Temple fans were disappointed they didn't get Birmingham.

This would also be the best fit for Temple in terms of traveling the best crowd possible. Annapolis MD is 2 hours from Philly and 3½ from NYC.

That's a pretty good line-up. Nobody will be at the Bahamas Bowl but I'll take it. As long as I can watch on TV.

They've got Cal vs Troy in the Cure Bowl. Looks like they don't think we'll fill our bowl slots, which means UCF, ECU, Tulane, and SMU aren't bowl eligible.

Is ECU supposed to be that bad this year?

True it just wouldn't have the same feel though as a more historic rival in the cotton bowl.

Thought ECU got an actual QB this year. They weren't bad last year with a 3rd stringer.

The so called p5 want solid opponents for their teams and fans, the AAC offers them that. That said, I'm not at all surprise the AAC has these many games vs them but I understand the G4's want good opponents also so we may still see a few matchups remain with them as well.

Of course we are, haven't you heard? With Ruff we were going to be one of Phil Steeles most improved teams in the country. With the same players but without Ruff we don't make a bowl.... why even play the schedule? Media loved them some Ruff, he loved them up.
