RE: Sun Belt Sports Facilities Discussion
Coastal has a course but it is primarily for the PGM program as it isn't quite up to DI standards.

They recently started hosting a turnament here: http://www.grandedunesgolf.com and I think they want to keep the relationship going. The main problem is it is a members club in a high end community so sometimes opening it up to outsiders is seen as negative. But they hosted a college-am as part of our tournament and I think it was a hit as many members could play with players from their alma maters.

Condescending much?
Ours just opened in 2009. Have you seen what it looked like before then? It was more in line with sandlot than HS.
We had to hide Teis in a closet while they built what we have. It holds 2400 so until we get the attendance to actually need to upgrade it's not going to happen. They have the baseball/softball locker room facility on the back burner until someone can pony up the 10M+ needed. Larry isn't going to solicit for it either. I don't think I've ever seen him at a game anyway.
I also am not sure where you would put additional seating at the ballpark. I was once told we could go up but I don't see how. The locker room would be down the 3rd base line. The Caboose (Bobcat Express) is on the right field line just past 1st base. Railroad tracks run along right field, the softball field backs up to left and behind center field is the football practice field. Doesn't leave a whole lot of options.

From CajunFan's comment, it is obvious he's never seen Coastal's beautiful Spring Brooks Stadium.

Coastal has the nicest baseball facility in the conference. UL will challenge us for first when their new one is done. But as of now, Coastal's is the top of the league.

Nice is subjective but I think Louisiana's stands and press box will be nicer than ours but the 360 view of ours will be hard to beat. It is so nicely done with the boardwalk - I haven't seen many stadiums with a similar design, although I've heard that it has inspired others.

That's a great course.

Oops - sorry about that. Thanks for the correction. Here is the website for the Dunes Club.

I'm afraid I don't have much to show for GSU right now, but hopefully soon we'll get some renderings of a brand new, historic baseball stadium, complete with Hank Aaron statue, as well as what I would imagine will be a fairly unique on campus football stadium. But seriously, I'm soaked about the new baseball field.
