Wow ! The MAC has 11 of the lowest 27 attendance figures. I, for some reason, did not realize that.

I see App leading this year. Their home schedule is amazing. Ark St will be 2nd then ULL, and GS in 4th. If we didn't have any or only one midweek game GS would be a close 3rd or 2nd

They might pass us, but it's worth noting that we have UCA on the schedule this year, and instate games are such a novelty in Arkansas that they are usually very well attended.
What knocks us out I think is playing Southern on a Wednesday.

RE: G5 Attendance
We only have 5 home games this year with one of them being App. Also we don't have a Thanksgiving home game to murder our attendance average. I expect us to do very well in attendance this year. If we're doing well going into the App game, I could even see us shattering our attendance record.
I'm predicting:
SSU 23k Opening Day/Military Appreciation
ULM 23k Parents Weekend/High School Band Day
App ~26k Rivalry Game ESPNU
ULL 25k Homecoming ESPNU
Troy 22k Last Game

Toledo will be good because it's the first one....but not like Missouri/Miami-good.

I bet Toledo outdraws Mizzou.

Both App and ULL are Thursday games, if those are all Saturday games then yes we shatter some records if we are winning. But you can take away about 5k fans for those 2 games and the others may get 20k. This could all change if we are ranked or in the title hunt.

It really should outdraw Mizzou. Tickets will be far cheaper, and since they beat the pigs last year, the curiosity factor among casual fans is higher. Plus, its the season opener, so we're not going to have any negativity coming into the game like we did after the blowout loss to USC last year.
Between Toledo, UCA, and a first matchup with Georgia Southern since that fateful day in 1985, there's actually a decent shot at getting casual interest those first few games, because all three teams get a lot of press in our area. If only Southern wasn't on a Wednesday.

Maybe, but App will likely be near 28k with that home schedule. #appymath

We had almost 25k for a Thursday App game in 2014 and that number is low because they weren't scanning a lot of student ID's and just letting them walk in so we could have actually already broke our attendance record and just not know it. ULL is homecoming so that will help attendance a little bit as well. The rest of the games are on saturdays and have enough promos to go with them to help attendance out. We had extremely large crowds for military appreciation day and Band Day last year in the 24k's for both games.

Opener against a recent rival, game against an in state opponent and game against expected top competition for the title in the first half of the year should equal a nice increase over last year. Beat USU and Toledo and look out. Beat Auburn and really look out.

Our attendance for Georgia Southern is really going to depend on our OOC performance.

Weather permitting. That remains to be seen in a climate like Boonetown.
With good weather we will see our 30,000 average from the Wonder Years return.

This...I wish we only had one weekday game. Killing our attendance. App will draw well because of the history and they bring a good amount usually but our fanbase is just not familiar with ULL.
App will be closer to 20K and Ull maybe 15K.

I think App's attendance will vary on how well we survive that month on the road......If we beat stAte & put a scare/win at Tech....our numbers for App will be similar to 2014

Our attendance average dropped 2K last year. I don't see it getting better in 2016 unless the UH game helps inflate the number but I really can't imagine it being a boon over the whole season; given what I imagine our record will be.

Well I'm basing all my predictions on attendances from the past two years. Thursday nights don't hurt us that badly actually. Our worst was <15k against a no-threat TXST last year. IMO homecoming vs what I think will be a dark horse team will draw a decent enough crowd for a Thursday night, hopefully well over 15k. Both our openers have been above 23k and both our first conference home games have been close to 25k. I expect these trends to continue and get better after our Bowl win, not get worse.
