Troy men's bball team just got a big-time transfer from the Florida Gators in 6'6" guard DeVon Walker. He's a graduate transfer who is immediately eligible for one year. He's seen action in 85 games with the Gators, including seeing playing time during Florida's Elite 8 and Final 4 runs in 2013 and 2014.

Troy may be a major darkhorse team this coming season, believe it or not. They lost only 1 senior, return 4 starters (two of which are All-Sun Belt players), added this Florida transfer, added an all-conference player from Division II Pensacola State, and signed a highly-touted 6'8" power forward out of JUCO. Troy also signed a very good high school player who may see playing time early. I might actually be excited about Troy basketball again for the first time in 6 years.
