RE: Recruiting
I like the signing. It looked like we weren't going to get anyone to replace Terrell and Sammy atleast he solves a depth hole/backup pg. I wonder if the scholarships Bruiser and Co sent are still valid. I am curious if Jayden Saddler and Rodrique Massenat still have a scholarship offer.

RE: Recruiting
For those who may not have seen. Kari Jonsson from Reykjavik, Iceland gave a verbal commitment to Drexel yesterday. Looking at his numbers he likes to shoot from outside although the shooting percentages aren't anything great.
It is hard to know what to make of videos like these but here are a couple links to him in action.

I think think this leaves one scholarship still available unless Sammy has had a change of heart (he is still listed on the roster on drexeldragons.com). Given the video of him and Terell being kicked out the players dorm and reports of recruiting visits though that seems unlikely. Even being one short that still leaves us 3-5 players ahead of Delaware right now.

You don't watch Iceland kids? I don't know how this coach/staff found this guy haha. My guess he will be redshirted anyway because of Fields/Overton/London and Major. Also you are right we have one spot available assuming Sammy doesn't come back. My guess would be a senior Rent a player/transfer.

RE: Recruiting
Campbell transfer, Troy Harper, announced he will come to Drexel. He will sit next year and then have two years of eligibility.
Here is an article on him:

In the recent transfer-happy NCAA, all the CAA champs have seen significant contributions from transfers (Davis and Goins (JMU), Usher and Baptiste (Delaware), Etherton (NU), Flemmings, and Ingram (UNCW). Hopefully Harper, Fields, and Overton can add their names to this list.

RE: Recruiting
My guess this signing will help bridge the gap when London and Major graduate next year? Hence having an experienced point guard option while a younger guard gets reps? I would hope Rodrique Massenat will still be targeted even though he was a bruiser scholarship.

I think he would expect to play when he is eligible. Although probably not directly comparable, his numbers so far are better than London or Major. Also if Major plays out his eligibility here, he would be done the same year as Harper assuming he can get a 6th year like Fouch did.
Here is link to the COBL story where they talk with Harper.

RE: Recruiting
Kari Jonsson did well at the Euro u20 tournament this summer. Iceland was in the "B" version, but he lead them in scoring as they upset the host Greece and finished second earning them promotion to the "A" league. He was named to the all-tournament team.
