I wasn't referring to the newspaper. I was referring to all the haters whining and b!tching about Western coming in so high. Maybe you don't remember it but I do.

Then they told us all year how we weren't legit because of our Dee. They just kept being wrong. And wrong again. And wrong again. And wrong 12 times.

some of my finest work...

I took fans from 3 schools (Tech, MUTS, Marshall) to the woodshed and laid some lumber on their behinds.

59-10

I had almost forgotten how stupid one of the Middle fans was in his 'smarter than anyone' predictions. God almighty he looked bad by the end of the season. He really looked bad on his predictions in re Western vs Middle. Did he come out of his hidey hole for a couple weeks after that one sided beat down we put on them.

I've honestly never seen a team dominated like Middle was in that first half unless it was teams from 2 different divisions. They said Brohm took a call from his priest at halftime telling him to let up.

I honestly don't care where they rank us this year. I think we'll surprise folks. We have a much tougher schedule with big games on the road but I won't write us off in any of those contests. I'm talking conference here.

I do know this. Until someone runs the table like we did last year for the first time ever in this conference, we own that. They can predict fire and brimstone to fall on our program like all the Marshall fans did. I don't care. They still have to look at that undefeated slate and EAT it.

RE: Sentinel Countdown - 2016
That WKU game was the perfect storm for us. We just lost 2 heartbreakers in a row vs. Illinois and Vandy the week before and came in pretty dejected. We had those 2 won and lost them both at the end. WKU was supercharged at home and ready to rip our spines out. We came in and just looked like we didn't know where we were and before you know it, we're down 28-0. Really though, not too many teams kept up with WKU last year. They were in a class by themselves. 12 wins tells you all you need to know about how good they were. I went to the Championship game and they were by far the best team I had seen play in our conference in the 3 years we've been in it. Cato was good but he wasn't "2015 Doughty good".

We won a close one the year before at our house and y'all come down to the Boro this year. Things always take a weird turn at JRF. Should be much better game than last year. Hopefully. :-) At least we have real OC now.

And it starts. Coming in at 128 is...

UMass

Hopefully, that means three OOC wins for C-USA as UMass plays FIU, ODU and LA Tech this year.

Should be but this game makes me nervous a bit. Being so far away and the distraction of playing in a NFL stadium. Tech always has one WTF game a year and this one could be it.

La Tech would be the least likely suspect of those 3 to lose to umass. IMO.

Just don't see that happening. #techrolls

We still have pee-walls and troughs. Maybe in phase two of the HRS stadium renovation they will finally modernize the stadium bathrooms, but I wouldn't hold my breath (except for when I'm going to the facilities, that is. It can get mighty hot and humid in Tejas.)

You didn't see how badly ODU got dominated by App State last year. It was pitiful and disgraceful.

Scary thought.

At least ours is showing visible signs of improvement:

That game both disappointed and shocked me. I was pulling for you guys hard in that one and thought it'd be a much better game. That was just one of those 'any given Saturday' deals. Maybe you guys can return the favor to them up in the mountains this year. I hope so anyway.

Western was jacked for the Middle game and for whatever reason Middle didn't appear to be. Our Offense got them on their heels early and often and Brohm dropped about 3 trick plays on 'em in that first half.

It was glorious.

Until NIU can get support that matches their on field success, they aren't a good candidate. I can't believe you guys draw as poorly as you do with the on field success you have had.
