Notes this week:

First place USA heads to last place App with a chance to move to 18-0 in league play, the best league start in my memory.

Arkansas State actually has dumped it's entire weekend rotation before the Troy series. Only one of its 3 starters this weekend has started a conference game before.

ULM and Georgia State battle for what might be the last SBC Tournament spot this weekend in Monroe.

ULL will attempt to prove to USA that it's method of nonconference scheduling works better with a fun matchup with SELA that will see the series played at both campuses.

It's improbable that USA will continue to move through unscathed. We will most likely drop a game or two at some point, but odds are in or favor this weekend.

I've heard this is the best start in conference history, and we now own the longest conference winning streak in conference history (it was previously 14).

Eventually the game of baseball will beat USA

Well, you can stick a Fork in Us . . . . We're officially done playing baseball this year.

At the end of 8, we take a 7-4 lead into the 9th, 3 outs and it's game Bobcats . . . We give up 4 in the T9th and lose 8-7.

Game 2 of the DH coming up in about 40 minutes . . . Can't wait to see how we blow this one . . . Me, I'm praying for Rain . . . even doing a Rain Dance as I type this. .

What the heck was Calvi thinking?? Unbelievable. The loss does not bother me. Leaving a guy in who gives up 3 hits and walks 5 in 2/3 innings does. I don't care what Calvi says to justly his decision. He screwed this game up.
