Conference gets more moola.

The Sun Belt has earned at least two units in 3 of the last 4 tournaments, time for our reputation to start improving.

We may still be a one-bid league but not one and done.

I think it helps AState. We've had more than a decade of coaches boo hoo one bid league nothing matters but the conference tournament. During the McCasland press conference Mohajir told people to delete the picture in their mind of what AState hoops has been and replace with what they want it to become. UALR winning yesterday goes along way toward erasing the Brady/Nutt propaganda to convince fans they were doing a swell job.

It's a magical time.

We are not done, this is just the beginning. The power brokers need to back this program and university NOW and keep the good things going. The program has certainly achieved orbit. Now we set up for a slingshot to the Moon!

I'm really starting to believe the money folks in Little Rock will make the decision to get behind this program. They see what excitement we can bring to this city. The fact that Chasse rebranded us to "Little Rock", at this point in time, just strengthens the argument about how it can enhance our city. I thought Dr. J and others were delusional, but I now see no reason we can't be the next Gonzaga or Wichita State if the city leaders make a decision to fully get behind this program. This decision will need to be made quickly if we want to keep Coach Beard here. I believe it can be done, but it will take folks bigger than me or the others on this board to make it happen. "Why not us has never been more appropriate than today.

Have to sustain it. HAVE to. We did this before under Newell, but we didn't sustain it.

Simple, they hired a guy, Jim Platt, who couldn't relate to his players, and evidently couldn't coach them. If they'd hired a guy like Chris Beard to replace Newell, he'd have kept it going.

Lrtrojan I couldn't have said it better. Platt undid what Newell did in one season. Ran off players like Carlos Rogers. He was only a first round NBA pick. He was horrible and the games were hard ro watch. They can't let something like that happen again.
