UTA wins and will have a bye in the next round. Await the results of this weekend's matchups to know the next opponent.

RE: CIT Backetball Schedule/Results
If either UTA, UC-Irvine or Columbia lost yesterday we would have gotten a bye for round 2. UCI almost did us a favor but ended up winning in OT. We will be on the road for Round 2 this weekend. Talks of it being either Furman or Coastal. We'd host a round 3 game if we win this weekend.

RE: CIT Backetball Schedule/Results
Coastal tops New Hampshire 71-62.

SBC has 3 teams (Well sort of) in the CIT Quarterfinals.

I get a feeling ULL or UTA will face CCU in the next round. Assuming CIT pairs regionally, the only other option would be to have ULL actually play UTA again, which I imagine they want to avoid.

Coastal hosting the next round. So that will not be happening.

CIT Backetball Schedule/Results
CIT usually lets schools know in advance if they are going to host.

Not sure. According to our beat writer the Big South paid for half of the first game. Not sure if they are pitching in anything else but may to help raise the profile of the conference since they can take credit and use for PR.

I'm surprised the Big South did that, given your status.

RE: CIT Backetball Schedule/Results
I'm not sure if the CIT committee is protecting their seeds, which the top 4 seeds are UTA, UCI, Columbia and UL. The other 4 would be Grand Canyon, Coastal Carolina, the TN-Martin-Ball State winner and the Boston U.-NJIT winner.

If the seeds are not being protected, then the logical matchups would be based on geography, which would place Grand Canyon vs. UCI, UTA vs. UL, Columbia vs. the BU-NJIT winner and CC vs. TN-Martin-BSU winner. Regardless, we should find out tomorrow.
