Tribal - Go ahead and move this if you want but figured since we have enough DC area residents on here that it should go here first as more people will read it and get the warning.

DC area residents, don't plan on going anywhere by Metro tomorrow. It's closed for 29 hours from Midnight tonight until Thursday at 5 am. Make other plans to travel or stay home since driving into D.C. or in the area will be horrible.

When our children were young (this was in the late 80s and early 90s) we would stay at a hotel every spring in Crystal City. We would jump on the Metro and explore the city. What a beautiful subway system - at that time.

Its current state is an absolute shame!
